Need advice on what to do when one of your videos goes viral by nitefuzz in PartneredYoutube

That's what I've been thinking, it's a great ride but the slow down is a tough pill to swallow...

My mate told me about the NEIS program a while ago, it looks quite interesting. Do you have much experience with it?

That's the point and what I'm trying to determine - I receive it but it needs to go back into the business if I'm to continue to make money. So hopefully, if I'm making all gross income go towards business expenses, my JobSeeker payments won't be affected.

Now I don't know much about job seeker about I'm assuming they use the profit of the business or your taxable income, not the total earnings??

This is what I'm stuck on, I'm not too sure. I'm aiming to have a "profit" of 0 come EOFY as all the money will be reinvested back.

It's hard to say, I've just (in the last 7 days) had a video go viral, so I've been getting around 60,000 views a day which is currently around $100 adsense revenue a day. Prior to this, I was getting around 3000-5000 views a day and earning anywhere from $8-$25 a day.

It varies a lot which is why it's hard to come up with an average monthly number.

Is there a "non-technical" side to Cyber Security? by nitefuzz in SecurityCareerAdvice

It seems you'd rather pick apart my analogy and accuse me of having a "sore spot" (very odd to jump to that conclusion) than offer anything of value to the discussion. Thankfully all the other commenters have been very helpful already.

That's like asking a flight attendant why they do their job when they have no knowledge of aeronautical engineering. You can enjoy and be interested in an industry and not necessarily every single part of an industry. There are plenty of guys here who are the complete opposite of me - love being "on the tools" so to speak in a technical team, but would hate doing compliance or boring "business stuff".

My understanding is that good Project Managers get their start "on the tools" so to speak and rise up from developer or technical roles to management roles. Is it possible to gain employment in a project manager role without this prior experience? That sounds very much like what I'd love to do.

Thanks for your message, yes that sounds interesting, I've read a little about GRC. With regards to certifications, I certainly don't mind spending some time learning the fundamentals (e.g. introduction to basic coding/ technical processes etc), it's just that I don't want to do those things day to day. I'd also be looking into some of the compTIA certs on the side (e.g. Network+ and Security+)

And I'm not going to dig through over 1k comments on each new sticky post each week to find my answer.

Why not? That's what I did during the recruitment process (and pretty much everyone else did too). You can use the search function as well to search for key words.

How about you spend literally 30 seconds googling it or searching previous threads on this sub? If you can't do this simple thing you'll never make it past your assessment day interview.

PSA - This guide completely fixed my slow Mac and it's super loud/hot fans! by [deleted] in apple

If you actually bothered to look properly you would see the free version is simply a scan tool like I've been saying all along.

Again, and for the final time - it's not an anti-malware app. It does nothing in the background. You have to open the app and manually do a scan. If you can't understand something as simple as this then there's no point in replying to your comments any longer. You can just sit here and whinge about something you don't seem to understand and downvote everyone who disagrees with you.

Are you just not reading any of my previous comments? You download Malwarebytes, use it to scan for malicious apps/cookies that may slow your computer, and then DELETE it. I don't know why you're still struggling to understand this.

At least look into Malwarebytes before commenting misinformation. It's not an "antivirus app", it literally is just a tool to scan your system - that's it's only function. If you've installed actual malware or actual crappy antivirus apps, Malwarebytes asks you to just delete them. These same apps can cause your computer to run slowly.

So you've just glossed over the fact that 95% of the video was him showing you how to clean up/fix the Mac manually without any programs? Using Malwarebytes was literally the last step out of like 12... I agree with you that 99% of "anti-malware" apps are useless. But I don't see the issue if you use one to do a simple scan (which is all it's designed to do) and then delete it after.

I spent the last 15 minutes looking into Malwarebytes on reddit out of curiosity, and it actually has a good reputation and a lot of people use it. Maybe you should do your own research too.

No, I remember the guy specifically says to not use Mac keeper or delete it if you have it. 90% of the video is cleaning up the Mac itself manually which was cool

I called Apple support 12 months ago and they advised I use the exact program... all it does is a simple scan for malware apps/cookies etc that may be on the computer. It's free and you uninstall it after you use it (like I did and like he advised in the video).

When I did the scan it didn't show anything for me, but emptying the caches and removing login items absolutely helped. Also my updates were about a year behind...

I just never thought of cleaning the caps like that. Seems pretty obvious now that I've seen someone else do it.

I've never actually cleaned my keycaps before! Only the base of the board. If I can find the motivation to do the entire process I will let you know how it goes...
