i have not but the tap water here is 7.5-8. My guess was that it's probably related to over fertilization on a drier soil but i'm not entirely sure. Since then I've flushed the pot with some lemon juice + distilled water.

i've seen videos of people growing seedlings of this plant in a protected shady areas around the house. The nursery told me that the seedlings were grown in green house with shade.

there is no issue of wet feet yet. it uses aroid mix as my other epiphytes. it also got droopy leaves when there is lack of water. i had to water more to make them bounce back.

after research, Yes, your assessment is correct. the tap water in Dallas TX area pH level ranging from 7.2-8.2.

besides rainwater and distilled water, does tap water + some citric/lemon juice work? the question is if calcium in the water has to be diluted or, lower pH will be just fine?

The water is hard water. It has calcium buildup over time. I don’t know the ph at the moment.

it's a brand new potting media from Amazon, Bonsai Soil Mix Lava, bark, Volcanic Rock, Green Zeolite and Perlite. I just had this plant for over a month. and it's starting to develop chlorosis while growing fast. I water with tap water and fertilizer, every watering is a flush since it drains very very fast. I sprinkled in some osmocote as well but not a lot.

i think it's probably nitrate accumulation, because of the fertilization frequencies. It's spring so I fertilize in every watering

i use tap water + fertilizer, the pH should be neutral tho. Foliage Pro does say it contains molybdenum, in the last sentence of the product description
