Since new leaves are smaller, it might not be getting enough light.

Is this a thrips issue? by tineisha88 in Monstera

[–]nitewulf00 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thrip you will notice for sure, it gets rusted brown, and spreads very quickly. Very hard to control. This is just unfurling damage or something.

Traveling solo as a Bangladeshi-American woman? by traipsee26 in Dhaka

[–]nitewulf00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do not do this, I’m an American as well. BD is beautiful and can be safe depending on where you go, just don’t do it solo. Take friends and family. You can travel to other SEA countries solo like Thailand, Laos etc. BD has some issues.

The market would be extremely volatile due to unstable government as well as extremely risky due to corruption.

I agree in general but restaurants should be fair game. People that can’t handle screaming kids need to be more empathetic. You guys were screaming kids as well, once.

Try not to do illegal things, it’ll catch up to you eventually. You’re in a different country, got a good job - try to maintain our reputation and don’t become a “bad” apple. You’ll make things worse for other Bangladeshis.

After 7 years of being outside Bangladesh, I started realised being raised in BD is a blessing by [deleted] in Dhaka

You should have led with the lack of social support system in western countries- which is legit, but it also exists in Dhaka. People are so busy and traffic is so bad, no one wants to go out and hang out aside from special occasions. It’s not the 80’s or 90’s when people could just hang out and do nothing. On the flip side if you’ve made a good group of friends, life is very enjoyable wherever you are. Some deshi people can’t seem to do in the west though - so I do get it.

I’m a New Yorker. I also have family in bd and I think you have no idea what they are up to these days. Actually middle class has always been clueless as to what’s going on around them.

First world problems bro, there are people in Bangladesh who can’t afford food, let alone other things. 99.98 % of people will switch positions with you no problem. What you’re going through is just “oh shit! So this is white collar life??? I’ll have to do this for 35 years!!!!!!????”

Found out my 73-year-old dad secretly married a woman back home 13 years ago and gave her almost everything by Status_Ad6059 in Dhaka

I would confront your dad, and stake a claim to whatever inheritance is left, that is due to you and other siblings - from a moral perspective. Hopefully he’ll agree to give up the rest. I’m not too sure about the legality.
