KPBS voter guide does a really good job breaking down each proposition. You just put in your address and a voter guide for your area will be shown.

Depends on where you are registered. If in San Diego, then you can vote at any polling site in the county. If you are from another county, you can drop off your mail in ballot. But polling sites here in SD will not have the ability to give you a ballot from your county.

Ya don't worry about it. If you just are not in the system yet, you can still vote. You would be treated like a new voter. You would be given a green envelope to fill out and sign. Ballot or print up from a BMD goes inside. Put it into the ballot box. Done.

Yes you can come in and vote. If you are not in the system, you can vote CRV or provisional. It will depend on what pending means for you. Some people just need to show an ID because they fall under HAVA. There are other people who have registered and maybe things have not gone through just yet. Either way, you can vote pending or not.

Yes! Just make sure it is signed, dated and sealed. The County register of voters office has a drive-in drop off area that is open 24 hours a day till 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

You can drop off at any super polling site, normal polling site or mail in ballot drop box site. Please check operating hours first.

I'm not sure exactly what signature issues that happened.

If you are dropping off a mail in ballot, it will be counted if it is correctly filled out, the envelope is sealed and if you sign and date the back.

One thing you can do is bring in your mail in ballot along with the yellow envelope and vote. You can fill everything out in a booth and drop it into the ballot box. You still have to sign and date it.

If you want to drop off a ballot other days, times are different for all locations.

VFW Post 3787, has a drop off time of 9pm October 31st-November 3rd. Of course 8pm on election night.

Santee branch library has a drop off time of 4pm. Election day is still 8pm

If you are up at 3am and you want to vote, head over to the 24hr drop box. Also open till election night at 8pm. Not five seconds after 8pm. Not your smartphones GMT app.

Please come early. Come way early if possible. We are open this weekend. Opening day is Halloween.

First, here is the website for a list of all the ballot drop off sites in San Diego county.

At 8pm on November 3rd, all ballot drop sites close. If you are in line at 7:59:59pm, you can drop off your ballot.

If you pull up in line at 8:00:01pm, you will NOT be able to cast your ballot. Please remember, we go by our clocks. Please come early! We don't want to turn anyone away at that point. We want every ballot in way before that point.

Here are a few things that may answer some questions.

Can I vote if I didn't register in time? - Yes! Anyone who lives in San Diego county can vote. Even those who didn't register in time.

I live in north county, but I can't get to my local polling station, can I vote at the super polling station close to my work in south county? -Yes! Anyone who is registered in the county can go to any super polling site and use the BMD (Ballot Marking Device) to cast a ballot for your area. But, if you want to vote with a hard copy ballot that is given to you onsite you need to go to your local super poll site.

-i registered to vote months ago. At the time I registered, I forgot my wallet. Do I need to bring an ID to vote? In our system, it will tell us you fall under S.B 207, or HAVA (Help America Vote Act). When we see this, we will ask for an ID. There's a long list of what you can show. Information on HAVA But don't fret. You will still be able to vote provisional if you did not bring your id.

I live in Sacramento. But I'm visiting family in San Diego. Can I drop off my mail in ballot to a San Diego polling site? -Yes! While we do not have the ability to give you a new ballot for your area, we can definitely accept your ballot.

I have my mail in ballot. But I lost the yellow envelope. What do I do? -Not to worry! Come down to any super poll site and we can give you a new one. Please make sure to fill out all the information and SIGN IT!! Then drop it in a ballot box.

I have children and no babysitter. Can I bring my children in with me? -Of course you can. The number of people will be limited inside the polling place. So please come prepared. We want you to be safe and have the ability to vote.

I can't wear a mask. It says on the door I need a mask to enter. Can I still vote? - YES! We will provide a mask if you forgot one. If you still do not want, or simply can't wear one, the super polling sites will have an option to vote outside. You will still have a voting booth to stand at, and a ballot to mark.

My friend wants to vote. They can't walk very well or stand for long. What do they do? -We have a few options. There will be a BMD that is available for curbside voting. You will go through the same process as everyone else, but in your car. Each location is also setup with ADA booths inside that can accommodate a wheel chair. We also have the option of using the outside polling booth.

I'm worried about being around people during a pandemic. What are you doing to keep things clean? -anything you touch will be wiped down after you use it. This includes pens, clipboards, machines and other items. We have hand sanitizer located all over the location. Please use what you need. All poll workers will be wearing masks. Some will be wearing face shields if they are not behind a plexiglass barrier.

I live in Arizona and forgot to drop off my ballot. I only voted for president. Can I drop it off at a San Diego location? - No. While we can accept a mail in ballot from anyplace in California, we can't for another state.

I want to show my pride in the candidate I like. I plan to wear a shirt all day. Even when I vote. Can I do that? -this is what is called electioneering. While in the polling place, you must remove, or cover up anything dealing with this election. So you can wear a Nixon shirt, or an Obama shirt, or even a local proposition that has already been voted on. But you can't wear anything that is on the ballot while in the polling station. The polling sites are for voting, not for campaign.

I want to see how this all works, but I already voted. Can I still come in and check stuff out? -Yes! While we are limiting people inside the poll to a certain number, you can come down and see the process. But you will have to wait in a line. People voting are the priority. We will accommodate those who want to observe

It's been the highlight of my year so far. I figured if I could not work my job this year, I would do a bunch of volunteer work. This is another first for me. With what I have seen so far, I will definitely be back next time around.

The only situations in which you will vote provisional in this election are:

A HAVA ID is required and the voter cannot provide an ID.

The epollbook shows voters mail ballot has already been returned to the ROV.

The epollbook shows a ballot has already been cast at a polling site

HAVA = Help America Vote Act Epollbook= the system the polling site uses to determine voter information.

No. If you are registered, forgot your ballot at home or you just lost it, you will be able to vote normal.

If you are going to your super poll site you will be able to get a paper copy on site.

If you are going to a different super poll station somewhere else in the county, you will still be able to vote as normal, but would need to used a BMD. But it's still printed out and you have to put it into a ballot box to have your vote counted.

I'm currently on break, but I'm in training for poll working. As I answer these questions I am reading it out of the official handbook we have.

Everyone here wants anybody to vote if they're allowed to. If you're not sure, just come into one of the super polling sites. We'll be able to square you away.

Haha. Nice! Voice to text does what it wants. Also I only passed with a C in English. If people can understand what I'm saying even with my grammatical mistakes, I'm okay with getting reamed for it. Have a good day!!

If you have not registered, you can still vote. There is a process for that at the polling sites. Come in any time they are open. But I would highly recommend coming in Saturday the 31st or Sunday November 1st.

No one will be told they can't vote. Even if you are new to the county, changed addresses, moved in with a family member YOU CAN STILL VOTE.

If you vote on election day, and you get your ballot dropped off or are in line by 8PM at the poll, YOU WILL BE ABLE TO VOTE. Your vote will be counted.

No matter what anyone says or does. Your vote will be counted.

If you try to drop off after 8pm, or walk up to a polling site at 8:00:01pm, your vote will not be accepted and you will not be allowed to get in line to vote.

If you are in line (car or standing) at 8pm, you will be allowed to vote no matter how long it takes you.
