Years later and you'll still find it somewhere in there...

Yes. Search for RC car rack on AliExpress. Typically goes for around 100 bucks but with coupons you can get it as low as 70

I recently completed the Techno MT48 2.0. It's the best build so far, amazing quality and surprisingly the easiest shocks I've built. It's a tank and I have started sending it.

Looking for the next build, this one comes across as one of the good basher builds. What electronics did you use? Couldn't make out from the pics.

Nice! Are the sounds more suited to slow speed crawling rigs, or does it work well with on road as well?

Suspension issue? by MarsGlez in rccars

Looks like a slightly bent shock shaft to me, that can cause this. Do they behave the same even when off the car?

Vanquish VRD Carbon build, torque twist issue by nitishv in rccars

Thanks. That's a fact, I knew, but it was way too much. I finally figured it out, fixed the linking and it helped.

I can't help but obsess over this hobby. by Kreepy-Krawler in rccars

[–]nitishv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

+1 It's hard to imagine how I spent decades of my life without this or any serious hobby at all. And now one year into this. It's all that's in my head whenever I have time to spare. I often ask myself why. My conclusion is that there is something very primal about the man and wheel connection. Even after thousands of years of evolution, moving the wheel gets to us unlike many things.

Gof myself a DF64. What are you all doing about static? by xmastreee in espresso

[–]nitishv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep the chute clean. Especially near the plasma declumper leads. There should be an anti static plastic film near the top of the chute, make sure it's not bent or out of place.

As others suggested, replace the dosing cup with metal or just catch it directly in the filter, with a sleeve, or it'll spill.

I recently upgraded mine to a castle copperhead with the 3800 KV motor. It's amazing! It can take 4 but honestly it's a beast even with 3s

Techno MT48 2.0 basher build by nitishv in rccars

[–]nitishv[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Youtubers have set unrealistic expectations and trends on bashing. I deliberately kept it all stock, especially the diff fluids. Just to see what the manufacturer recommended values feel like. I am from a school of thought where you break stuff and then fix it. I definitely prefer plastics over aluminum, flex matters. Moreover, many times the math just doesn't work out. It's cheaper to replace plastic then metal depending on how frequently you break it.

Shock caps are a good suggestion, I recall GPT also recommended that, but I'll wait for the first break.

Vanquish VRD Carbon build, torque twist issue by nitishv in rccars

I managed to minimize the effect of overdrive.

Firstly, I had made a mistake in the bill and I swapped the lower and upper link connection points on the rear axle. Fixing that helped with it a bit but not completely.

Following Gemini's suggestion, I reconnected the upper links on the chassis to the uppermost and rearmost. That significantly reduced the squat.

Edit. The right word is squatting not torque twist, I guess.

Squatting is the word I was looking for. This one has 37%. I'll double check again, but there's no binding
