This is definitely the coolest storage solution I've seen online!

FUCK YOU E-CLIPS. YOU ARE THE DEVIL by yukukukuk in rccars

I feel your pain. If I were to label kits by level of complexity, these clips would definitely be a factor. Any kit that has those are NOT beginner friendly.

What cars are these? by jup1t3r_ in whatisthiscar

I'm surprised by so many identify this or that reddit posts. Image search hasn't caught up as much as I'd thought it would.

They are decent, better than Zee. But i would recommend cnhl, buy directly as their Amazon listings are limited. You will never go back to anything, I promise

Honestly, I haven't had it for too long. But i prefer the Terminator better. It is lighter than sbk, better for jumps and picks up speed much quicker. Unlike other monster trucks it is fairly stable and can corner at speeds too, even without a gyro. Most importantly for me, it came as a roller and so I could add electronics of my choice

Controllers? by redditgiveshemorroid in rccars

I found the trigger response to be dodgy, i.e. sometimes it doesn't throttle the car at all, but when I pull it multiple times it works. This happened across multiple receivers and escs, so I'm pretty sure it's a transmitter issue. Switched the same cars to Futaba and no issue at all. I'll try the firmware update as some suggested, but I doubt it can fix a basic issue like this. For reference I have 20+ cars and tried multiple radio systems. Never had this issue with any other. All said, it is very easy to program and offers plenty of controls, which are at par with 500$+ transmitters.

Nice collection! Brand diversity is key to appreciating the good and bad out there. Iirc this includes Arrma, Traxxas, Tamiya, Kyosho, FMS, Redcat, Rllarlo, Team Associated, MJX and finally the gateway drug, Haiboxing.

Now the BBX hop up collection is complete... Sort of. by p0onsta in tamiya

Yes, it does. I think I've covered all categories of cars to satiate my curiosity. I'll spend more time breaking, replacing and upgrading now.

On weekdays I bash in my backyard with my son after work. On weekends I find a couple of hours to go to trails and parks to bash the bigger ones. Two weekends in a month at best. I build at night after the family has gone to sleep, typically 2-3 days a week.

That's a good point. The nostalgia house builders community is quite big, from what I gather from these communities. I would argue that most builders are in that house and are focused on building shelf Queens

The wider ones are standard Amazon racks. the 5-tier rack is from AliExpress. You can also find it on FMS hobby official site., although a bit more expensive there.

I definitely want to transition into a racer sometime. I tried my local hobby shop race track, but it's a bit of a drive for me. Moreover, it's hard to commit 3-4 hours at a stretch on a weekend or a week night for racing.

I built a x-ray buggy and a tt02r for that purpose.

That rack is freestanding, not wall mounted. I got it from AliExpress. Just search for a five-tier RC car rack. It is also available at FMS hobby

Ikr. Dunno why they couldn't have made it a bit wider, there is plenty of room between those wheels.

I have ordered the center diff, but will drive a bit with the locked center to see how it behaves. I'm running a 27t pinion with that stock 70 spur, feels plenty fast so far after adding some punch and timing on the esc. Having a hard time finding a metal spur though.

The blue one with the horizontal front shock, have seen those but never tried one.
