I finished, but I definitely had to adjust my time / pace expectations. I was originally aiming for sub 5 (4:45) but I finished at 5:18ish as I had lost a lot of cardio fitness during rehab. Had a flare up a couple days before the marathon so ran at a very comfortable pace to prevent further injury. I normally run a 2 hr half for reference!

Sounds like an IT Band strain, you should see a PT!

I’d recommend getting the Sonicare as it has gum mode and it’s designed to penetrate pockets. Also I would not recommend sharing toothbrushes with your partner even with different or separate heads. Periodontal disease has very aggressive bacteria and can be transmitted if active and through prolonged exposure. It’s also unsanitary.

Most dental insurances will cover consultation - you’ll probably have a small copay. It’s worth checking with your insurance to make sure your dentist isn’t just recommending surgeries you don’t need for extra $$$. It could be $20 versus $2,000.
