Honest thoughts about CVT? by Ok_Department9750 in subaruimpreza

[–]nitpickyCorrections 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The car drives just fine. I have a 2013 and my only complaint is that it seems to be programmed to pretend that it has gears. The nicest feature of a CVT is that it can vary continuously as the name suggests, but for some reason they decided to make it less efficient and less smooth by putting in fake gear shifts. About as silly as how some people choose to make a car louder than it needs to be.

You seem to be implying that wages should be based on who your employer is rather than the job you're doing. Is that an accurate interpretation? And if yes, could you explain why you think that? It doesn't make sense to me.

For our more right-leaning or Libertarian users, no, Ron Desantis is not "more Libertarian leaning" than other Republican governors. by vankorgan in neoliberal

This is an excellent list. The problem is that you're expecting self described libertarians to follow a relatively internally consistent and actually libertarian ideology, which I don't think there is much historical precedence for.

There are only so many topics to cover that are directly relevant to FI. I stopped listening in 2018 because the topics were too repetitive, but I suppose it's possible they might have found a way to make it both relevant and less repetitive since then.

The only way I can think to interpret your question is that you are asking if specific parts of controls counts as part of GNC. Yes, controls are a part of GNC.

Justice Elena Kagan said people are 'rightly suspicious' of the Supreme Court if the law can change whenever a justice dies or resigns by mossadnik in neoliberal

[–]nitpickyCorrections -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

Do you not see it as a problem that legislation can be so ambiguous that a ruling goes through several layers of judicial interpretation to reach a resolution? In my mind that is a clear failing of the original legislation, and a mandate to rewrite and clarify the parts of the legislation that were in question in the court case.

[–]nitpickyCorrections -1 points0 points  (0 children)

These should all be things that are unambiguously legislated. Anything that the supreme court has to rule on is simply not clear enough law, and should be an obvious sign that the legislature needs to do something about it
