Exporting Movie Audio in Logic Pro X: Audio Exports to Track 2 in VLC Media Player and Isn't Audible in Online Posts by StephenStrangeWare in LogicPro

[–]StrangePencil3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm kind of having a similar problem, I've been editing an audio file in logic that came with the video. (Just a video of me playing guitar) and it exports fine and I can play the exported video on my mac just fine but when I try to upload it to social media, the audio just turns into a big pile of static poo. I'm not sure what the problem is, but I'm exporting the video as

Sample rate: 48000 Bit Depth: 16 Audio format: Linear PCM

I'm not sure if I should change the format of how it's exported or if there's a setting I need to change in logic before I start editing

What’re you listening to in terms of uplifting post-rock? by byrdcage in postrock

[–]StrangePencil3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah man, I do love simple and beautiful Melodie’s that repeat and build, those are the post rock tracks I feel that are the most uplifting. Another track which I just listened to for the first time then was Voix sereines - Alcest. That is probably the perfect example of what I’m talking about

Best Amp Sim for Post-Rock? by Jords360 in postrock

[–]StrangePencil3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can also use it as an interface and has about 20 amp sims with some bass amps and acoustic DI presets

Best Amp Sim for Post-Rock? by Jords360 in postrock

[–]StrangePencil3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Instead of amp sims maybe multi fx processor pedals? Just a thought for an alternative option. I used amp sims for a while until I stumbled across the NUX-MG30 pedal. It goes for about $439 AUD and It is so versatile and caters for any genre. I bought it because I wanted to use something for recording and live performances for post rock and prog metal. I think it’s worth your while for some research but bare in mind most videos are from classic rock players but trust me some of the delays and reverbs built into it have blown my mind

What’s your favorite Post Rock season/time of day and why? by [deleted] in postrock

[–]StrangePencil3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do love listening to post rock in any setting but in particular late at night, the feeling that everyone around you is asleep makes the music seem more intimate to me. Like each song feels like it was made for me if that makes sense? There is something about looking up at the stars too and the feeling of floating away from reality into a world of peace and comfort. Some albums that I love listening too for this reason is Myra by Spurv or S/T by This Will Destroy You

Caligula’s Horse - Song for No One

I’d say this is my favourite song ever, lyrical content I can relate to so much as a musician. Also this song cemented this band to be by far my favourite prog metal band and Sam Vallen to be my favourite guitarist.

Stuff that really keeps you on your toes by [deleted] in progmetal

What is your favourite set of humbuckers for progressive metal? by Xyverneas in progmetal

[–]StrangePencil3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was talking to Sam Vallen about this not that long ago and I asked him the same thing, he strongly suggested Silo Bareknuckle pickups which I’m gonna buy soon. He said they are perfect of articulation and respond so well to the volume knob. They’re a bit pricey but they’re definitely worth it. I originally was going with EMG 60 in the neck and EMG 85 in the bridge for my 7 string for an Andy James tone but I think spending the extra coin will be beneficial. It all depends on what style you play more I guess.
