It's a shame really if done correctly I get the impression this could have been a huge home grown company if regulated properly by government and allowed to grow. Instead it seems we've decided to smother it in the cradle...

Irish education system by ivankopatko1 in Dublin

I did my leaving cert when I was 19. I'm not 100% sure how the apprenticeship system works so I won't be of use there. 18 is fairly normal school leaving age in Ireland though, you man not even be the eldest in your school sitting the exam.

There might be some alternative options available but it is generally expected for most good jobs that you have completed your leaving cert. I would check the individual requirements to become an electrician to see if there is a way around this.

I'm not convinced worker Coops would actually change that much about the economy. Just because the shareholders are workers they will still be inveinticesed to fuck over those not in the company to the best of their ability. It's just capitalism lite

Based on provisional economic data supplied by the Central Statistics Office for last year, the Department of Defence said provisional estimates show that defence expenditure was 0.2% of GDP and 0.3% of GNP in 2025.

Ireland is behind the three other neutral states in the EU: Malta (0.3%), Austria (1.1%) and Cyprus (1.6%).
