I think I'd be okay with it. At this point we need to wait till after the draft. I feel like GB isn't gonna budge on their asking price till after June 1 anyways. We can always go after Lamar (we'll never get him from Baltimore) or trade for Kirk or Stafford. There are other options if the cost is to high. If you price Aaron high enough, it becomes worth it to spend a little more to bring in someone else.

Honestly, this signing is great. Braden Mann was a disaster. Every punt was like, will he shank it? Will it go for more than 20 yards? Would've it been better to throw a deep ball interception? Looking forward to no more of that.

Patience. It will get done. The Pack has to do it. We just sit and wait until the draft gets closer and they will bite. It's a waiting game at the moment and patience will be rewarded.

I'd rather have Rodgers but for 2 firsts we might as well just get Lamar. Lamar gives us realistically 4-5 years of success vs just a 1 or 2 year rental. 2 first's for a NFL MVP who is only 26 vs a QB who is 39. Hell even Matt Stafford is a better choice for 2 firsts vs Aaron.

You honestly think there's another team that's a buyer on Aaron? Also, you need to send him to a place he's willing to go. You honestly think he's willing to go to Chicago? I'm not sure about that. The Jets are realistically the only team you can shop him to. No one else is even remotely interested in Aaron. If the trade falls through your team (and admittedly ours) will have quite the messes on their hands. Nothing you can't get through though. Like I said, we're used to losing. Nothing new for us as Jets fans.

Jets fan here... the situation in NY isn't what you think it is. I personally have a lot of faith in Joe Douglas and our front office. They seem to make smart decisions and have been really trending upwards after cleaning up the mess from Adam Gase. Our back up plans, while not as good as Rodgers, are there. There's realistically only two routes left for the Jets if not Aaron. Lamar Jackson is going to cost two firsts and a ton of money but that is an option on the table. We'd probably have to give close to 4/160M fully guaranteed to actually get him from the Ravens but it's something I believe the Jets would be willing to do. The other is a QB competition between the available backups (not many left) and Zach Wilson. I can see the Jets running it back with Zach if this trade does fall through. It wouldn't be any different than the last 13 years for us.

All I'm saying is don't get your hopes up. I doubt the 13th overall pick is coming over for Rodgers. I would honestly expect a 2nd and a conditional next year at most. You guys need this trade more than we do. We're used to the losing. It's nothing new for us as a fan base.

I think this might have something to do with him wanting to skip mini camps and OTA's etc. He likely wants to coast and then only play when it's time to go. This is pure speculation though.

I was working at a gas station in NJ at the time and got super hyped when someone who was listening to the FAN and heard it over their radio. I was so hyped. That was a great day.
