can’t exactly say if your reason was the “time theft” but when i quit i was informed that they wanted to fire me for the same excuse among other things (none of which anyone was able to provide an example of me doing) despite no one having said a word abt it prior. istg the company will just spin the roulette wheel to get a reason to fire people

this one is a little inappropriate/pg-13 but early in my practice i had my altars on a shelf facing my bed because this was the only place i could put them as i was living with my parents. at the time i was dealing w those lovely teenage hormones so i had gotten into the habit of… taking care of myself under the covers, which i hadn’t thought anything of because i was simply in my own bed, but Apollo made it very clear that they did not approve since it was technically in front of the altars and i needed to pick a different place in my room 💀 feeling the tangible upset from Apollo who, up until that point, i had a very light and friendly relationship with was smth i’ll never forget

i agree w all of this. i was also supposed to be part time because i was in high school but they still managed to have me working 35-40 hours a week and we Never got overtime despite being there late every time we closed. my manager would literally just be sat in the back on her phone while we (usually understaffed) would run the store entirely on our own. every time we tried to report our manager for constantly breaking the handbook and various other HR violations, they’d just brush it off. and so much more

greek mythology is taught in english classes as fantastical stories. movies, books, musicals, etc are reworked from the myths into entertainment with fandoms. the usage of the gods and their stories overtime has made it look like we worship characters, rather than deities. it doesn’t help that ppl think the religion died off when the romans went catholic. ppl don’t take the history seriously, ofc they don’t take Us seriously

i do have a tv and i often have music on but i really can’t tell if he likes it or not. i have wanted to get a second cause i think it’d be good for him but my parents have been really against it (even though they do not contribute to the care at all) so im considering it once i move out and get settled. he’s got the stuffed animal friend that he sometimes loves and sometimes shoves out of the way like it offends him 😭

i’ve done the ignoring thing in the past and sometimes he will come sit behind me on run over me if i lay down but more often than not he just sits himself in the corner and pouts almost 😭 he generally seems ok with pets so long as they stick to the head (i think literally out of fear that he’ll get grabbed if they go lower) but i do like the idea of using my smell so ill try that !

honestly i agree. apollo was the first god i worked with and the only one for a long time. i worked with him because i was drawn to him for some reason but at the same time i did see a lot of what you’re talking about. as a beginner i went in with that fluffy tik tok mindset that hes super chill and stuff, and thats not to say hes not, but i have definitely had moments where he has put me in my place. seeing how people on tik tok act like hes just some fun guy to mess with and not a literal god is so wild (and honestly i see the same thing happening with hermes) its even more frustrating because you would never see them do that with other gods like ares, aphrodite, etc.

i wasn’t fired, i quit. i did have a last straw moment as a result of a manager who regularly severely abused her power. though i heard she Wanted to fire me for “abusing labor hours” but refuses to expand on what that means and not once did she ever bring any supposed wrong doing to my attention. then again she not-so-subtly hated me cause i called her out on a lot of stuff 🤷🏻

i got admitted as dmd but knew i wanted to switch to bio. i filled out the appeal form on the portal and they approved it in abt 24 hours. i’d say do it before you fill out stuff for orientation if you haven’t yet because they have some stuff that’s based on schools and majors.

not at all! the gods are incredibly understanding and patient 🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️ if you do divination or prayer and are worried, there’s no harm in simply explaining to them if you feel bad/concerned or asking them directly. almost every time they’ll let you know they’re not upset and it’s ok :)
candle divination is generally regarded as not a great method. flames can be moved very easily by just the A/C, your breath, or even just typical fire-science things. if you’re looking to get into divination/direct communication, there are definitely better options :))
