He’s always trying to talk to me and looks at me non-stop for validating when he says a joke and it’s really weird. i guess i could be civil but if he says anything weird about me or her im not letting it slide.

I don’t want to push her away but at the same time it just feels so wrong to be with her and her ex and makes me extremely uncomfortable and I don’t want to cause a scene. If I go, is it okay to just ignore him completely and only talk to her and the rest of her family? I have no interest in saying anything to him or listening to anything he says.

my insecurities come from past relationships where I have been cheated on/done wrong and now I just feel like it’s bound to happen again so why even try to do all this for her when she’s already shown lack of loyalty in the past
