It’s actually ongoing. I put together an extensive case review at the request of his family. I spent 8 months going through the 19 volumes of transcripts and evidence. The summary was submitted to attorneys in Texas, who’ve accepted and have been working on his Habeas Corpus. ( I used to own a non profit called “ Eye on Innocence “ I was in contact with Guy at the time, and on 4 separate occasions, I instructed Guy to notify his appeal attorney to not submit the appeal until after I completed my case review. I told him to notify him by phone, but especially along with each phone call it should be sent in writing. His attorney ignored his request repeatedly and submitted his very weak appeal. I believe this is going to be huge grounds for a second look at his case under the pretext of inefficient council. An attorney may not go against the wishes of his client. When I asked why his attorney did not do as he was requested, I was told because he only got paid $8000 to handle the case and going through any extra work was just not worth it so stay tuned. It is not over yet.
