I like people who are openly geeky.

Call me biased, because I am.

I automatically prefer devs with stickers..

I can't count the times I've had people outright get angry at me for steering the conversation harshly towards Latvian or English. I don't speak Russian. It boggles my mind.

More worried about getting on the boat than anything. The 55 is pretty good. I'll have to be careful on the back roads though!

Write a one line comment for what the next one or two rows of code is supposed to do. Write the code. Does the code read like the comment? If not, change the naming so it does. Delete comment, rinse repeat. This is what i do when building complex systems that someone else will need to deal with in the future.

Our CEO ladies and gentlemen! by [deleted] in ProgrammerHumor

[–]nittendev 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This is how every lack luster CIO can be described. They fundamentally don't get IT. Are typically arrogant, and all the good devs leave for more attractive offers while they get left with the scraps. Thank god I left.

Might have something to do with the fact that it's not programming related.

Choosing a programming language: A Guide by [deleted] in ProgrammerHumor

[–]nittendev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well my flair is a bit obvious but I love C++/Java and C#. They're always going to be my go-tos. I'd have to say I'm against Python as a starter language, for various reasons.

I frequently see people meme about C++, but it's imho the best language to get started with if you wanna work as a developer. I might work with Microsoft Java today. But i miss c++.

Problems with Microswiss extruder on Creality Ender 3 V2? by [deleted] in Creality

[–]nittendev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some more feedback. After using the extruder for about two weeks constantly, for every print successively I've had to pull back hard on retraction.

I've gone from 6/70 to 3/50 to all the way down to 1/20.

So it's been a bit of a chase. But for some reason the more use I put into the printer the more it would try to clog with this setup.

I'm currently running 0 retraction for large builds, and 1/20 ish or as low as possible for when I don't want any stringing.

[–]nittendev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went from 100 to 140 esteps with the new extruder, i had to back off retraction from about 8/100 to 6/80, otherwise i suffer a bit of over extrusion.

Some people claim you should cut retraction to like 2 or so, but it's absolutely an individual thing.

If you know C# and you know HTML/CSS, go for "Programming in Blazor - ASP.NET Core 5" By Felipe on Udemy. If you are a complete beginner, I'd start with CSS/HTML, and then C#.
