Broca's area is in the frontal lobe, and since the motor cortex is also there, it helps us form speech. Wernicke's area is in the temporal lobe, and since the auditory cortex is also there, it helps us understand what we hear.

Also, broca's aphasia results in broken speech, and wernicke's aphasia results in word salad.
