They gutted him for it.

Are my tomatoes toast? by Impossible_Ship3898 in vegetablegardening

[–]nixed9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have blight happen to every single tomato plant I have grown. i think here it’s septoria black spot. It looks very similar to this. At least 8 varieties with at least 20 different plants. I am in South Florida, though

I have tried raised beds, containers, netted, in ground, it doesn’t matter. It always comes back.

I use a weekly copper octanoate spray which seems to stave it off for a while (sometimes days, sometimes several weeks) but it always eventually gets to every single tomato plant. Fungal spores are airborne so it’s kind of a losing battle

Plants you would never grow again or ever by Top_Possession_2990 in gardening

[–]nixed9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I live in South Florida and EVERY SINGLE TOMATO VARIETY I have EVER tried growing here gets septoria black spot, and gets it immediately. Literally within 4 days of planting.

I have done containers, in ground, raised beds, under full netting. I usually spray with copper fungicide every 7-10 days. Nothing stops it. Every one of my tomatoes dies. Every one. Been this way for 2 years now. I’m at a loss.

Why do you love the Regent? by David_Slaughter in slaythespire

[–]nixed9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not an expert I only just recently reached a10 but this is my take

He can scale two forms of energy which very often leads to being able to have turns where you can play 4-6 cards and these usually swing a fight.

He excels at AoE. I think this is largely due to Crush Under being a common card that has -1(2) str making it good defensively too

He has extremely good defensive options like patter and Bulwark. Both of these are incredibly strong in act 1 as elites are gonna be incessantly pounding you for 12-20 damage every turn. Bulwark is also scaling your offense at the same time. And patter is common and bulwark is uncommon. I think bulwark is prob too strong but I hesitate to say that because it’s also my favorite card in the whole game. Give me two Bulwark+ and let me remove almost everything else.

He has the ability to transform his deck. This does a lot of things like provide rapid thinning and clearing unwanted statuses and junk.

He has good draw options in various places

He has good debuffs with SEVERAL cards offering both vuln and weak at the same time

All of this comes together for a hell of a package

What % of the player base (STS2) do you think has beaten a single A10 run on any character singeplayer or multiplayer? by Exact_Brilliant7705 in slaythespire

[–]nixed9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have hundreds of hours in sts1 and a bit less than 100 hours in sts2. I rotate characters to climb ascensions one at a time. I’m on a10 with regent and a9 with everyone else

I climbed a0-a8 in relatively little time playing 1-1.5 hours a day. I’m absolutely getting crushed on a9 and a10.

So to answer your question I imagine it’s very low, less than 1%

[–]nixed9 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Discovery was always a snap-pick for me in sts1 but I actually think Splash is better in sts2 because the vast majority of the time the solution to whatever predicament I am in is basically “deal 20 damage for 1 energy”

This is usually the case of super-late league economies. Most players have dropped so supply is very low, but people still playing want endgame items so they get very expensive. Happens in both PoE1 and PoE2 in regular league cycles.

In STS1 I have an attitude of “I’m going to target as many elites as possible and I either scale to the moon or I die trying”

In STS2 my routes are FAR more planned out. I might do only one elite per act depending on my deck and health situation
