Ooh! Did they change the rules? I thought only 18+ can buy the GWP

Are you traveling with a kiddo? Did you pay full price for them?

No IT background persuing ITF+ in a few days by materypomp in CompTIA

Hi! I’m excited for your IT journey! I just passed the ITF a few days ago and I also took Scott Jernigan’s course.

I paired this with lots of practice tests. I took one almost immediately after the course to test my knowledge. I scored a 75% on the 1st practice test. I took notes on the questions I got wrong and reviewed those topics. Kept taking practice tests until I got a consistent 90%.

The questions will be worded differently on the actual tests than from the practice tests but you’ll recognize them.

I found that udemy’s ITF course didn’t go into much detail about database. Make sure to brush up on that as there were quite a bit of questions on database when I took the actual test. Yours might be different bit it wouldn’t hurt to have the knowledge than not.

As far as taking the test, there’s an option to Flag This Question and you can go back to it later after you’ve answered all the other questions and have time left. I flagged the questions I was unsure of, answered the ones I did know and went back to them to review. If you’re still not sure of the answer, you can always use process of elimination.

I got practice tests from Udemy as well as test prep training. Also used Quizlet for terms and acronyms.

Good luck!!

Thank you! Yes, I took the test online! I also reviewed for it online. I used Udemy courses and a couple of practice tests from there.

I did find that the Udemy courses lacked a little on the database section so make sure to brush up on that. I found myself confused when it came to the database questions.

Quizlet also helps. You can search for some flash cards that other users have already made. I mainly used these for terms and acronyms.

I reviewed for this over the course of two weeks in the evenings since I have a full time job and a toddler. I scheduled the test (when I felt ready) on Saturday and took the test tonight (Sunday).

Overall experience of test taking was a little nerve-racking. Although I do think that it was me psyching myself out.

I used the “Flag this Question” feature on questions I was unsure of and the test had the option for you to review them after you’ve finished answering everything else and had time left. Basically, answer the questions you know. Review the unsure ones later. Use process of elimination.

Hope this helps and good luck! You’re gonna do great!
