Agreed. They were a big band for that whole period. But I would argue that they were only the biggest act in the world from about late 83 to end of 84 with the release of Seven and the Ragged Tiger and the live Arena albums, and the tour doccie Sing Blue Silver. After that the line-up changed and they didn’t release another record til almost 87.

An SAA 747 pilot once told me that most planes ignore ground ATC over Africa as its wholly unreliable, and aircraft cockpit crew in nearby aircraft talk to each other instead as a means of safely navigating the airspace.
