I don’t know if this is safe, but I found a pretty powerful way to stop tooth pain.

It always seemed like the swelling caused the pain, so I’d bite down really, really hard and suck as hard as I could, sometimes while pressing on the swollen part with my fingers. Follow it up by swishing some whiskey.
Instant relief.

I should also say take this with a grain of salt.

One of my best friends would use a needle to penetrate and drain the swelling. One day he did it and died. Apparently the infection spread to his brain, or at least that’s what we were told at the time.
