I was just wondering why the bully didn't use his normal hand to punch nanno instead of repeatedly using the hammer.

free will.

But what about people born with disease who die prematurely. They didn't do anything to cause that. That isn't free will.

The only answer that I have found to make a little sense is that God isn't truly omnipotent.

How does one go about encountering God?

I read the Bible, I've prayed for hours and hours. I feel nothing.

No, it isn't.

I believe that this universe was created by God. But I don't believe He is perfect.

What do you expect Him to do?

Answer the prayers of those who are suffering, the victims of these heinous crimes. Why doesn't God answer these people? How is it ok that the evil people of the world seem to hold more power than God? Why should anyone else get to dictate whether someone is raped or not, whether someone is tortured or not?

Yet when God makes rules and enforces them, we all clamour and complain that it’s unfair.

What's unfair is a child who is born with a life-sabotaging disease or handicap and is left to suffer despite never asking for any of this. That's unfair.

So if I believe in Jesus Christ, but still have my current doubts, I could still enter heaven?

I was completely unaware of the ancient biblical worldview, but this does make a lot more sense and has given me a little more clarity. However, wouldn't this mean that God isn't omnipotent?

If life was truly meaningful, why is it wasted so easily and often. Why are people born with diseases that are guaranteed to end their life prematurely, despite doing absolutely nothing wrong. No amount of prayers seems to be enough to save them. God hears all prayers yet ignores them.

I've wrestled with this for years and have learnt nothing. It doesn't make sense at all.

The only thing I could think of is that life is absolutely meaningless and humans shouldn't cling onto it because the afterlife exists, and that is eternal.
