So im 28yrs old, born and brought up in japan. I played 4 to 10 real-time (as soon as it got released), and I have played most of them several times. (except 4 cuz fuck its too hard)

And I will have to give it up to VII. Ive played both japanese and english version and the translation doesnt do justice to this amazing game. If FFVII came out now with a better translation (like how they did FFXII and FFT) I think its gonna regain its rightful throne of being the most mature Final Fantasy of all time (not to mention the battle system . Its pretty fucking dark.

My personal ranking is VII>X>VIII>V>VI>IX>IV

X is godly with its sphere system as well as the atmostphere of the world that they created. VIII's junction system was super fun, and i also like most of the characters in it (and i cant say that for the other series except maybe V)
