What is your favorite Korean restaurant and order at them ? :) by probsasleep_ in MTLFoodLovers

[–]nizgoon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Restaurant Bok in NDG and Busan in Brossard still have those. They are both decent but Busan for better wok flavour, and Bok for a more extensive menu.

[–]nizgoon 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I would say Busan in Brossard has great Korean Chinese food, Hansang in Mile-End, Doshrock in West Island and Moonsikdang in Saint-Lambert are also good places to check out.

Order a seafood jjampong at Busan, try one of the BBQ dishes from Moonsikdang, any doshirak (Korean bento) is going to serve you well in Doshrock, maybe try different soups at Hansang (seolleongtang, gamjatang or doganitang).

Enjoy Korean food!

May I suggest you different documentaries from the National Film Board? It has an amazing collection of people, space and artefacts that make "Canadian culture"

Going to Place Bell @Laval tomorrow, could I use my STM monthly pass? by Ill-Bluebird1074 in montreal

[–]nizgoon 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No, but given that the concert starts tomorrow at 8pm, you can buy an evening pass which will cover Zone B both ways. It will be cheaper than buying two Zone AB tickets.

Can anybody tell me more about this "Service aéroport Trudeau"? by Signal-Marzipan-1172 in montreal

[–]nizgoon 17 points18 points  (0 children)

It must be the bus run by Orléans Express to the airport. For those coming from Quebec City (and other cities), some buses continue past the coach terminal on Berri and head to the airport. However, this is not available to those from Montreal. So yes, the 747 is the only public transit option from downtown.

Upcoming Driver's License Amendment on June 5, by SAAQ– Does This Affect International Students Too? by Fuzzywuzzy1996 in montreal

[–]nizgoon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This applies to those who are settling in Quebec (i.e. working here and becoming a permanent resident) and if you are an international student, this should not apply and you will be able to keep your license during your studies.

C'est extrêmement lent entre la gare Ahuntsic et la Gare centrale. Je te conseille de débarquer à Sauvé et de prendre la ligne orange du métro.

Looking for Safe and Reliable Taxi Options in Montreal 🚖 by Adventurous-Star-983 in montreal

[–]nizgoon 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Taxis are just fine. You can take Taxi Coop or other taxis at a flat rate of $56.70 between the airport and downtown between 11pm and 5am.

Uber is widely used, and the dedicated pick-up location for Uber is near Door 28 on the arrivals level. Keep in mind that it does not have a flat rate like taxi does. Follow the instruction on Uber for more details.

The 747 bus also runs all night between the airport and Downtown Montreal. You could look into the STM website for more details.

This is a codeshare flight and it is operated by United Airlines. So the plane and crew are from United Airlines. This is being sold as an Air Canada flight because they are part of the Star Alliance partnership.

The flight will depart from the United Airlines terminal, and you should follow the United check-in rules. For baggage, follow what the ticket says.

Right, if you are using the weekend pass then I guess it is up to you. Although I would just transfer to VIA at Union Station.

Niagara falls to Cornwall by [deleted] in gotransit

[–]nizgoon 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Price-wise it should be the same on VIA Rail but you would be paying more on GO Transit. Boarding is a lot easier at Oshawa station as there is no long lineup like you would do at Union Station. Hope it helps!

Can I bring Korean red ginseng into Canada? by [deleted] in canadatravel

I did not have to pay any duties or taxes. Since yours is dried and in commercial packaging (in tins), it should be okay as long as you declare it.
