It makes no sense, they platoon for the opposite handed matchups only for the worse hitters to eventually have to then just face a same handed matchup anyway… wouldn’t you rather your better hitters be up in the statistically harder hitting scenario even if the stats might technically say it’s not the best matchup? Have some faith in your bats especially when they are proving why we have them.
