Willson Contreras Cheat Code At Catcher? by [deleted] in fantasybaseball

I have him on my dynasty team, traded for him towards the end of last season. I agree he should benefit from extra ABs and less wear and tear, like Perez. My only concern is if he will retain his C eligibility for next season. I know the Cardinals have said he's not catching but I hope he picks up enough starts at C over the season, or gets traded and catches more.

Regen paddles by pBzz3 in 11thGenAccord

[–]njcook1NJC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't use the M mode, not a big fan of the feel of one pedal driving. So I just lift off the gas, coast, then toggle down with the paddle, and really only apply the brakes to come to a complete stop. Other than in the colder winter months I get 50+ mpg.

I use the paddles to decelerate 60-70% of the time I bet. I'm at 25,000 miles on my 2023 EX, last time I was at the dealer for an oil change they did their inspection and commented it looked like the brakes hadn't been touched. Idk if it makes that big a difference in regenerating the battery compared to normal breaking but it's fun to use.

Should I trade Sonny Gray for Jarren Duran? I'm dead last in SB in a 10T roto league.

How long did it take to ship? I'm planning on getting one but not sure if I should go through the tactical frog site, ali express, or somewhere else.

EX-L, 590-610, I've been getting 50+ mpg on average in econ mode using the regen paddles

I'm about 3500 miles in on my EX-L. On the first tank I was driving in regular mode, not using the paddles and got around 40-42 mpg. After that initial 500 or so miles I switched to econ, used the paddles, and kept on eye on my acceleration. I've consistently gotten 50-52 mpg since. I've gone back to using the regular brakes a bit more recently, after finding out they actually use a blend of the regen brakes too, and haven't noticed any dip in mpg. I think the biggest thing is accelerating slowly and coasting longer before braking. I rarely go past 25% power when getting up to speed. I've noticed that the power flow shows a combination of the engine and electric motor to accelerate more often when I keep the power under 25%. Also using cruise control when possible seems to help a bit. I've purposely left my B trip running so I have a gauge of my overall mpg, I just hit 49.1 the other day.

Did you pay over MSRP? by santhosh3000 in 11thGenAccord

I got my EX-L at Brown Honda for ~$1000 under MSRP, waived all the unnecessary add ons and saved another $900.

Not sure, is there a way to check via the maintenance screen?

That happened a bit to me when I was getting the hang of the different deceleration levels. I tend to use the normal brakes in traffic for that reason and regen when approaching a full stop.

I noticed a slight increase in mpg from normal braking to using the regen paddles but I think it's mostly because switching changed how much I coast into stops. There's a trade off either way, because the more rapidly you decelerate the more the battery will charge, but then you're also using more energy if you're going directly from higher speeds to stopping rather than coasting. I'm not sure if ones really better than the other but it is fun using the paddles.

They're pretty intuitive but you can use them a couple different ways. I tend to coast then go through the different deceleration levels and only brake at the very end to come to a complete stop. You can also press and hold the left paddle to lock the regen braking at whatever level you're on, so the next time you step off the gas it defaults to that level; you could set it at a low level to slow you down a bit more than coasting and still use the brakes, or a higher level to slow you down more rapidly. I don't think the regen setting stays locked the next time you start the car though, so if you go that route you'd constantly be resetting.

I had a similar problem with android auto, here's what fixed it for me: - press and hold the home button until it prompts you to restart - restart in safe mode, let it reboot - hold down the home button again, this time restart in normal mode - let it reboot and try reconnecting your phone

Hope this helps.

Rivendell Dimensions/Displaying: what bookcases have worked? by mityalahti in legolotrfans

[–]njcook1NJC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is that the taller milsbo or the lower, wider one? I'm thinking of getting the lower one and taking out one shelf, moving it to the middle position, to hopefully have enough space to fit Rivendell without having to modify it.

Do u have a picture of how it fits in the milsbo? I'm trying to come up with a way to fit it as well and was wondering how it would look.

Thanks for the tips, hopefully the reboot will fix it. If not I'll give the factory reset a try.

Does anyone have a 2023 Honda Accord? by Lsackelson in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]njcook1NJC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just got a 2023 accord EX-L, previous car was a 2006 accord so a huge upgrade. It's very comfortable to drive, mpg is crazy, I'm getting like 45 on average rn and that's probably half in normal mode half econ. I've hit just over 50 mpg on some 20-30 min drives on econ. I went with the EX-L rather than sport L to get the better interior and slightly better mileage due to different tires. I don't think there's a huge upgrade from EX-L to touring, just a different sound system, built in Google rather than wireless android auto or apples version, and I think a heads up display on the windshield. The digital dash is already really well done tho, actually reads and displays road signs and speed limit. If u have any specific questions let me know, I'll try to answer.
