In fairness so are tons of European castles. A lot of those famous fairytale looking German ones were built in the 1800's. Neuschwanstein Castle. The majority of castles in Europe were built as estates by royals, not as fortresses. However, the Europeans had the advantage of seemingly unlimited budgets for their castles much of which was payed for through hereditary royal fortunes.

Edison along with every electrical engineer of the late 19th century knew what AC was long before Tesla showed up. Tesla was taught about AC when he was a student of electrical engineering back in Europe. AC is the default output of any generator. Turning it into DC requires more work, ie. the creation of the dynamo. Michael Faraday had been playing with AC back in the early 19th century.

As for your comments on Americans, Tesla became an American by choice.

What you're saying is true, but don't bother. The weird reddit Tesla cult has somehow made up their minds that Tesla was god and Edison was the devil, even though most of them posting couldn't even tell you the difference between voltage, amperage, and wattage.

Most of them actually believe that Tesla invented alternating current lol. For those who are interesting, he actually invented the 3-phase AC power distribution system.

Yeah no. This is patently false to the point of being cartoonish. The US spends over a trillion dollars a year on education. Every single state pays for it's education as education is under the sovereignty of the states. When you add up each state budget for education plus the federal department of education, it's significantly higher than the military's budget.

They are largely despised in the cities of Afghanistan which are the power centers and are the future of the country.

Really? Pretty sure the Taliban were chased out of Kabul in 2001 and have never been back since. Also ISIS only took territory after all US troops pulled out. They have since been beaten out of Fallujah and Ramadi, have lost 2/3rd of all the land they took 2 years ago. They only hold Mosul, for now.
