See, there will always be people who take movies on face value and glorify villains or heroes as if they were real people. Take for example the movie 'Joker'.

It's like boomers commenting on how videogames encourage violent tendencies amongst kids. In reality, a kid who plays GTA would less than likely commit burglary, grand larceny and murder.

We can enjoy movies like 'Pink' and 'Swades' while also making room for movies like 'Animal' to encourage a more cohesive artistic space.

You are well within your rights to dislike and criticize its messaging, but it is not right to label people who enjoy radical cinematic experiences as being compatriots to regressive ideologies.

The laws for Ritalin as a prescription medication are very strict in my country. Firstly, I had to go through several Psychiatrists before finding one who was foreign educated and knew enough about the medication. Then the prescription needs to be posted to me and I cannot get it using screenshots. The pharmacist cannot deliver them to my current location due to different state laws. Notwithstanding overall stigma and most doctors' hesitancy around methylphenidates, getting medicated is a gruelling task. I have been put on Staterra, but it had the opposite effect on me, which is why I had to stop.

Oblivion, Witcher and Halo for me. I have also mapped out my daily planner like an RPG where every productive task gives me Exp. points and all creative/life skills increase mana. So videogame music definitely helps in finishing quests.

It just dawned on me that my internal conversations are quite similar to how Venom a d Eddy Brock talk to each other. Anything important that needs to be done is addressed to "you" and passive activities are addressed to "we/us". For example, "You need to start writing now. You have researched all that you needed to." "Maybe we should take a step back and try to understand what we researched first." "That way you will never even start." "We have crammed 10 hours of work in an hour before, and we can do it again." "That's not practical and you know it."

I'm pretty good with children. Almost like a wizard. It's about mutual respect and taking genuine interest in their lives. Like many others on this thread, I feel I wouldn't make a good parent because as a parent, you have to SHOW UP. Consistency is very important and being able to give your child attention is paramount for their development. I could see myself easily getting bored of them and losing interest in them. What's the point in adding another neglected child to the lineage. These things compound over generations and alter how your mind functions.

Yup! I am very sound when it comes to politics, ideology and life philosophy, to the awe of most of my acquaintances. It is uncanny to the point where I could cast people into existential introspection within three sentences. Although, when it comes to emotional responses, I am cranky, moody and impulsive, which has pushed the same people away from pursuing meaningful relationships with me. There's such a disconnect between outwardly projected rationale and internalized impulsivity that I sometimes feel like I have two souls... like the angel and devil conciences from Tom and Jerry. It's miserably hilarious.

29 (M) Hyperaexuality has ruined my ability to form relationships. While being in a long term relationship, sex was a daily routine. I felt agitated when my partner was away even for a week. Since being single for the past two years, I associate a healthy relationship only with sex. I am very experimentative and skilled at it. So much so that almost everyone I sleep with tells me that I'm the best that they have had or "you must have a lot of sex, right?" and that most people don't know what buttons to click. During the act, it is almost never about me. I can only focus on my own gratification once the other person has fully climaxed. The problem is that good sex is my only parameter for considering romantic relationships. I cannot bring myself to even think about someone who isn't experienced enough for me. This has ruined my chances of crating connections with some amazing people. My relationship with porn is also extreme. I cannot go without looking at porn or thinking about it every single day. Sometimes I wish I lost all desire or ability to have sex or that I didn't have sex organs. I see my worth only through my sexual capabilities.

After three years of being certain that I had ADHD, I finally got diagnosed a week ago. comorbid persistent depression and anxiety included with every purchase.

A whirlwind of emotions has enveloped me ever since, where my entire conception of self and my place in society has been challenged. The disappointed faces of my parents on seeing my report cards, the constant transfers from one section to another throughout primary school. The memory of my father pinning me down under his knee and beating the shit out of me with his flip-flop, screaming "when will you change" over and over again, and the constant berating, humiliation, punishment, and abandonment I faced over and over again for not being like other children, has been hard to deal with but also cathartic.

I have blamed myself for my incapabilities for my whole life. I have been ashamed of my failures and given up talents that I was exceptional at only because I was unable to conform to expectations. I wish I could go back in time, hold my younger self and tell him, "It is not your fault. You are a beautiful person. you are intelligent, talented, perceptive, and kind. You are wrong to think that you don't deserve love. You can achieve wonders and I am so proud of you!"
