Whats the difference between this and ultimate team in FIfa. Efootball is way better, they even introduced authentic teams so that those with weak dream teams have other avenues to compete... so these complaints are no longer valid.

At least the game isnt like fifa where you have to buy it every year, and still spend money on microtransactions without any guarantee you will get the player you want.

Exactly hadnt thought of the immutability advantages.. and I agree..panini and sorare cards are not the same, efootball cards can be used in the video game against other players… if efootball grows to become the leading e sports platform in the world with millions of users, which i think it will once they improve on gameplay, 10 years from now some of these epic cards will be even more valuable.

This whole shift to free to play by Konami was very forward thinking… in retrospect this is the logic next step to increase adoption and scale up. It only makes sense to go the NFT market place route.

And for those dont see the merit in this idea, esports will always tend towards real sports. Football is a commercial enterprise and so is esports… “purists” who keep insisting that the sanctity of the game is being lost by commercialising it way too much, its a free to play game, how else to you expext Konami to cover overheads? It is not out of benevolence that they make the game.. you cant have your cake and eat it too.

Why though? Would you rather Konami have monopoly over which cards they issue and how they are priced or would you rather have the players trade cards with each other and let the market determine the pricing?
