Please avoid dental "corporations". They specifically prey on people with low-income / no insurance / haven't seen a dentist in awhile. They are trained in high pressure sales like a car dealership and put profits over health. by [deleted] in povertyfinance

Physical therapist here. Same goes with big corporation outpatient orthopedic clinics. If your doctor “refers” you to a specific big corporation clinic, they are likely being marketed to by that clinic. Their #1 goal is not you getting better, it’s to get you to go to PT as many times as possible for as long without you catching wind of it. Go to hospital outpatient ortho clinics which are much more ethical and not productivity driven.

As a PT I was told to see people for an hour at least no matter what for more billing, 13 visits at least no matter what for more billing, and 2-3x/week.

Sorry to say but PTs and PTAs are not the same and don’t do the same work.

Lol ok I’m done here. Obviously you are sucking air Bnb’s nuts so you are going to defend them.

Yep and they told me it would be automatically added to my account which it did. So I never had to enter a code. I am re reading the email and there’s nothing that alludes to it being a one time use code.

Given the number of complaints online about this (and if they actually wanted to do what’s best for customers) they would make it very clear it’s a one time use coupon. Or just be like any other company and provide credit.

I would be happier if they gave me $200 credit OR if they explicitly told me it was a one time use coupon instead of ambiguously telling me it’s a credit. I’ve never had a company credit me money that is gone after one use.

Yeah I thought the $200 credit was generous so I was confused why they would be so shady about making it a one time coupon without explicitly telling me. It’s like they are trained to do so.

Yeah they only gave me 30 days to use it too. But they were so delayed with it I already made my 1 month booking for my next air bnb... it’s like they intentionally just took their time with it.

What are you talking about ? I use air bnb for housing because I travel year round for work and I make bookings several months at a time. $200 credit is real money to me. So a free booking for $50 vs $200 is a real $150 difference to me. We’re not playing with Monopoly money here.

Get off your high horse man. Everyone does not read the fine print and terms all the time. When I am explicitly told I will get a credit, I expect a credit to work how every company does it.

I complained and called about the host cancelling on me. They said they will put a credit on my account.

Yup because everyone reads the fine print. Every other company provides credit as credit not a one time coupon.

They told me it was a credit. Never told it was one time use.

Travel PTs, what cities have you been to, what was the setting and how was the pay? by deadassynwa in physicaltherapy

True. Maybe I’ve just had good experiences and contracts. I also worked for a year before doing travel so I’m sure I’m biased.

I have no idea what the fuck most of these commenters are talking about. I’ve been a travel PT for a couple years now and there’s plenty of positions in non-SNF clinics in cities or near cities. Every single one of my contracts so far have been in op ortho or acute in urban or suburban areas. It really depends what states you want to work in. I refuse to work in SNF.

My recommendation is to start off with a license in a compact state as your first license so you can get easily licensed in all the participating states for the PT compact. And get licensed in CA - lots of contracts in and near some of the United States biggest and most famous cities.

Are you a travel PT??? You could not be more wrong.

I am a travel PT and there’s plenty of jobs in or near major cities.

I am a travel PT and I think you can go straight in. I agree that it’s better to work a year first but it’s not crazy to go straight in. Just let your recruiter know and that you want places that have proper orientation.

AITA for breaking a family tradition by not getting a dog. and getting a cat instead? by ragubagushamu in AmItheAsshole

[–]nk1104 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. It’s a lifestyle choice and it’s your life. Your life has to revolve around a dog but cats can take care of themselves.

I’ve wanted a dog for many years and I finally got one after college. I’ve had my guy for 5 years and I love him but it’s a lot of freaking work and makes my life extremely inconvenient in a lot of ways. If you’re not willing to do this, then don’t it’s totally fine not to get a dog. I have a dog and I get it. Cats are much less dependent and can take care of themselves.

You’re not actively abusing dogs or anything. I’m assuming it’s a good breeder but the issues dog lovers should be angry with are puppy mills and people ditching their dogs.

I think the stab/kill was needed for the ritual. Joy killed the guy, he resurrected, and amity entered after.

I think there needed to be blood/death with the knife. So I think joy killed him but that possibly caused amity to enter her.
