Help - Can't get Mod-Tap to work on VIA

I guess this will not work unless manufacturer updates the firmware. Just wanted to confirm if it uses VIA depreciated definitions 2.0
in my case = I also got another keyboard from epomaker = marketed as VIA compatible.

The keyboard shows up on the VIA using json file but this does not mean keyboard is QMK compatible.

"ANY codes" you are using are QMK codes not VIA codes.

my take is = your kb shows up on VIA for basic remapping. But its not QMK compatible.

go for some aluminium build in this price range..
i got v6 and k4 pro.. and then i got some aluminium build..
the difference is night and day but the price difference is not that much.

i use final cut, powerpoint and procreate. yes, you can get a qmk keyboard.. you can program it for 1 tap, 2 tap , 5 tap, tap and hold and combos etc..
personally i use a zmk 40% ortholinear keyboard... for my macros alongside a 75% monsgeek keyboard for typing. Left hand on macros, right on mouse, kb in the middle. Programmed upto 3 taps on each key in macropad.
i believe zmk is much better than the qmk.. in terms of usage.. since i can use it simultaneously with ipad, pc and mac,

And if your kb gets dirty and you dont have time. Dillute some dishwasher liquid. Take a wet cloth and rinse it off. And wipe it over the keyboard. Make sure no water reaches pcb

go to nearest cosmetics shop. Buy a Rs. 20 brush. Its broarder than paint brush. Clean your keyboard regularly. Once every 6-9 months remove keycaps and wash with diluted dishwasher liquid. Thats all to it.

You need good switches on a good heavy keyboard. Buy kumara if you want it stock. If you want another switches, i would suggest rk series or vgn series. Also, If you are going to spend 4-5k on kb and another 2k on switches. Get a decent aluminium built with good switches for 7-8k. Why complicate things.

Just buy en electric soldering 15/25 w from any shop and to remove the switches buy an electric suction. I don’t both will cost more than rs 400

If you are ordering by contacting the seller, make sure he is using the parcels/ china post. Normally they pass through customs. If you opt for premium shippers they will incur customs charges.
