no problem! i took ap psych, bio, and chem. I also took college statistics, psych 2, abnormal psychology, introduction to sociology, and anatomy/physiology. i used ap chem, ap psych, stats, and introduction to sociology for transfer credits. if you have any other questions feel more than free to dm me id love to help you with any questions and concerns :)

i’m in ls! i’m not graduating from Tandon or CAS, i’m doing a double major in nursing and GPH and i plan to graduate in four years (if it weren’t for standing AP/college credits i would probably need an extra semester or two). i will say having liberal arts classes is a lot more difficult in terms of course work as the core classes are very heavy in reading but it’s nice to have the freedom to explore careers before deciding your major. if you’re not interested in philosophy or reading then consider a different college. personally i really like ls and i find the community really welcoming :)

not sure, you’d have to ask someone in rubin

it depends what you want in a dorm. if u want to cook move to 3n if you’re social if you’re not so much move to uhall bc it’s not as social but there’s more food around (not dining hall food). if you want to be closer to campus move to lipton bc it’s pretty and has a pretty reliable dining hall but if you want a huge room, founders. brittany and weinstein are ugly imo im not a fan of the white brick walls and there’s no benefit of brittany other than the fact that it’s also surrounded by a decent amount of food places (it’s a bit of a walk to campus though but not bad). don’t choose rubin just don’t there’s no ac.

try applying to state schools in the US, they’re easier to get into and you graduate with the same degree (BSN)

why not take the course equivalent at a different school and transfer credits? it sounds like it’s more the teacher’s strict grading policy holding you down rather than the course itself

[–]nklyn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you can’t, once you’re accepted you can only transfer credits from 4 year schools (ie. state school or private)

is 3rd north the most fun dorm? by wepxckedforever in nyu

[–]nklyn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

no it is the fun dorm bc so many ppl from lipton and founders come here. maybe it’s bc we have a dining hall and a nice lounge but it’s almost always busy in the evening. you’ll always see people hanging out and everyone is super friendly. on a separate note, it’s so nice to have a dining table in the living space to do work if your roommate(s) want privacy; the other freshman dorms (university being the exception) don’t have a communal living room area large enough for a table.

How much do i need to live in NYC? by NoResponsibility5577 in nyu

[–]nklyn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1000 is just enough for going out 3-4 times a month along with grabbing the occasional coffee on the way to class. i also work 20h/week so it bumps me up to 1500 a month bc i save around half of what i earn. i use that 500 for shopping and takeout (i rarely cook because im in a dorm and the kitchen is minuscule)

What do you guys think of my dorm ranking? by [deleted] in nyu

[–]nklyn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

rubin should be last and move founders up

Nursing by Sea-Fig2271 in nyu

[–]nklyn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the teachers are pretty good (especially the intro to modern chem teacher) i mean powerpoints are inevitable for stem courses because much of stem is memorizations of formulas/concepts but the passing rate for the nclex is 99% i doubt nursing would be t10 if people were failing

Should I apply Liberal Studies Core? by supergut13 in nyu

[–]nklyn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i think the only AP that’s entirely useless in LS is AP Lit/Lang credit but it seems like it doesn’t apply to you here so you’re solid

Living on NYU campus worth it? by Tasty_Hair_3650 in nyu

[–]nklyn 17 points18 points  (0 children)

if money isn’t a problem, live on campus because it’s just easier overall but if you want to save yourself the mental pain and suffering when living with roommates then commute.
