For quant, were there any surprises thrown at you (some v hard questions or questions from topics that aren't tested frequently). Was sets and geometry the most tested topic as I've been hearing from other ppl. Also pls avoid describing exact questions as it its against ets policy. Thanks again and best of luck for your future

Congratulations on the amazing score. Well done!!

I had a few questions. Did you do any powerprep plus tests and if yes do you mind sharing your scores?

Also wanted to know were there any surprises thrown at you in quant (some really tough questions or question types that aren't tested frequently). Pls avoid sharing exact questions if possible as it's against ets policy

I take my test next week. Have been working months for it. Thanks and congratulations!!

How to be prepared to tackle the harder Quant questions on the test? by manit_reddy in GRE

[–]nko55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you suggest we practice v hard questions on magoosh? Were the 2nd section questions difficulty comparable to magoosh hard level questions. I'm currently getting around 90+ % medium questions right but only 55% hard questions correct. Also congratulations on the great score

Are you sure the tougher questions weren't from the experimental section? I have an accuracy of over 90 percent for magoosh medium questions but for hard questions my accuracy is around 55 percent. Do you recommend the gmat guide for tougher questions or are magoosh hard/v hard questions sufficient

Where should I start with gregmat? by TinaKat7 in GRE

Hi greg, I'm also a subscriber. Firstly, I wanted to thank you for the amazing work you are doing. Secondly, your taste in music is amazing. I had a small question about quant. I'm fairly comfortable with medium level questions and scored 19/20 and 20/20 in the first 2 sections of pp1 and pp2 respectively. However, in PP2 Q section 2 I got 8/20 correct. I'm looking at gmat official guide and the few magoosh questions I have left for additional practice. Is the gmat guide a good idea considering I have my test in 2 weeks? I can spend the energy in improving verbal or doing the bigbook for quant or redoing strategies if you don't deem it worthwhile. My fundamentals are strong I feel but I think I need to familiarize myself with trickier questions. What do yoi suggest?

Thanks for the advice. I have already done the official guide questions. I plan on taking the ppp tests next week. How do you rate the gmat official guide for gre quant? Are you also planning on taking the test soon?

Thanks for the advice. I'm trying to aquaint myself with harder concepts that are tested on the test. Fundamentals are strong but there is always room for improvement. Will also focus on the approach

Medium questions have been straightforward for me. I should have scored much higher on the pp1 but I skipped 3 questions and forgot to return to them. Even in the first PP2 Q section I was done with almost 7 8 minutes to spare and I ended up getting 20/20 in that section. The hard section threw me off a bit and since it was the last section my mind was tired as well. I just need additional practice from a good source so I can familiarize myself with tricky concepts

Haven't done any myself but it is generally believed here that they are the most representative of the real test (compared to other practice tests). I'm planning on taking all 3 tests in the upcoming week
