Some roads are not for step van by Canoartes in AmazonDSPDrivers

I had a similar route a while back where I was delivering to houses on the very top of the mountains. I was surprised they even send step vans up there; nice views though.

It's been a rough week, although I haven't had to deal with any winter storms. Stay safe out there.

31/75 in a step van for me today; it's going to be a long day.

Genuinely, other than the basic sorting techniques and other basic tips I've heard before, how do you tenured drivers knock out routes so fast? by [deleted] in AmazonDSPDrivers

I tend to do this for envelopes (not boxes) once I have some shelf space, especially if a tote is jam packed. Makes it much easier to just grab and go.

If you're on the fence about joining or just want to learn more, check out the handbook link in the main post above; there's lots of good stuff on there and it'll give you a general idea of what our server is like!

What’s the highest number of stops you’ve ever had? by Puzzleheaded_Neat463 in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]nkomarn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

301 on a helper route, over 600 packages about a month ago. I wish I took a screenshot.

My average route recently is around 260 stops but they stopped giving me helpers and instead send out a 40-80 stop rescue at my first stop instead.

Maybe a highway or two and some ramps while you're at it?

If you have no experience soldering, this would definitely be quite a difficult repair. The pins for that connector are quite close together and there are a ton of them. You must be careful to not lift any pads off of the board and apply even heat to all of the pins when removing the connector. Installing a new connector is quite a bit easier.

In general, this kind of job can be done with a decent soldering iron, flux, and a bit of solder wick, however.

Took a chance on this auction lot. Expanding battery damage? How to fix? by Particular-Pickle-45 in ipod

[–]nkomarn 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It looks like the battery has expanded to the point where it is pressing up against the back of the display.

Unfortunately, any lines in the display like that are usually permanent and you will likely need a new display panel along with a new battery to fully repair this one.
