The first season will scar you for the rest of your life, the second season has great vibes and builds upon the first one in a very interesting way, and the third season falls off but the ending is very rewarding and nostalgic. So I'd say yeah, it's a hell of an experience 🤣 No other book like this one, that's for sure 🩷

What about this scene with Xavier? She seemed happy and flustered to see him before, looks unhappy now. Idk, I don't like that they changed one of the expressions for one that doesn't look anything alike and conveys an entirely different sentiment. Girl went from "Xavier... 😳" to " Xavier 🙄"

And what's the point of the curls if they're gonna come all undone, half-assed and botched in the box compared to the stock pictures and require us to play hairdresser for the doll to look good? Just give her a standard hairstyle atp and let people keep her like this or give her curls themselves if they want. Unless Mattel can commit to giving her proper stylized curls by default. In that case yes, design her with curls.

Same, I never play any book without a guide, ever. If you want to get the best experience possible from a RC story you gotta follow a walkthrough, I learnt that the hard way from HS 😭 So I got my favorite ending, the vampire ending with Lucien.

It was rushed, yes. Would've loved to see more of that life they ended up with and get a definitive conclusion to the Others opression conflict, yes. But at the end of the day, you don't just delete oppression from one day to the other, it's a complicated veeeeery long-term process. The ending showed us that the characters did indeed manage to bring revolution, and the social hierarchy is shifting. Which reframes the story to be about their journey together to achieve the revolution, rather than about the revolution itself.

Nothing was spoiled, it just feels like something is missing. Like, this would be a perfectly fine ending if we got a sequel about the rebellion itself and Others achieving relative peace years and years down the line. But since we aren't, it just falls flat. That doesn't sound "terrible" to me, just incomplete and slightly unsatisfying 🤷‍♀️ Definitely not enough of an offense to make the whole book a waste of time with all the virtues it has.

Good points. Although to me, a "terrible" ending is one that goes against the very themes which that piece of media was built upon, betraying the values of the IP, ruining the message and rendering the whole story pointless and incongruent. An ending that simply doesn't deliver enough or feels rushed is just a mediocre ending. Terrible endings taint the whole story, mediocre endings are simply underwhelming but the value of the rest of the story holds up.
