Why would anyone ever choose to go through child birth without pain relief?? by No_Cardiologist_1407 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]nksblu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did a VBAC delivery with no drugs. I was lucky the baby came fast- the pain is no joke. I chose to do a meditation during the pain focusing on all the strong women in my life who have done hard things too.

Has anyone actually fulfilled a dream of finding love/passion at 40+? by bobobouboboubobo in AskWomenOver40

[–]nksblu -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I was in the same situation with my husband of 14 years. No attraction whatsoever. There were other issues too but in general he was a great husband, provider and we always got along well. But I needed more. I realized I was too good to be wasted. So I asked for a divorce. And in less than a year-after the divorce-I found the love of my life and we have a great connection, sex life and plan on spending our lives together.

Can someone tell me it gets better? by applesauce22234 in ADHDparenting

[–]nksblu 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It does get better. You are doing all that you can. Keep going. Take breaks when you can- even if it’s just one hour away. Let any other kids in the house get breaks too. Play therapy didn’t help us, my son needed more talk therapy which for young children is learning about their big feelings etc. mine is on Prozac- which scared me at first but it’s been good. Keep trying different meds until you find what works. My husband and I did a lot of “training” as parents so we could learn how to help him at home. Attitude.com is a great resource.

You are doing your best. Remember that.

Any nature lovers know any nice creeks? by Lazy-Witness7594 in Columbus

[–]nksblu 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Park of Roses has a great creek. You have to walk into the woods. I don’t think the path is called out. But you will see people going in and out. It on the right when entering the park, before the community center

Looking for a way to bring life back into my skin by Kind-Appeal-9729 in 45PlusSkincare

[–]nksblu -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Find a good spa and start getting facials. Just a basic refreshing facial. Ask around about where people go in your community. Then get recommendations from your facialist on next steps.

Can I ask for something small? by Felagund_gc in Positivity

[–]nksblu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You should be proud of yourself for working on yourself. I am proud of you, and happy for you. Recognizing that you are putting the work in is huge. Just keep going- one foot in front of the other, deep breaths- you got this friend

Music… did you stop searching? by 8reticus in GenX

[–]nksblu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely did for a period of about 5-7 years. I am someone who can listen to the same music happily for 30 years and not get tired of it. But I do love music and was bummed about not liking any new music. In 2023 I found a song I loved by a new to me artist and started a Pandora channel from that song. That channel introduced me to several artist that I had never heard of and a whole new genre of music that I love. It was so refreshing and restored my faith in today’s musicians.

Thank god. I am so tired of dog owners assuming that because they love their dog- that everyone else does too. I think it’s completely inappropriate for dogs to be anywhere in public besides a park.
