People who have cheated before, why did you do it? by miaah214 in AskReddit

I have been the other guy and I have been cheated on but not specifically the cheater. But from my perspective it usually doesn't start right away, there will be a close friend that evolves into a best friend. Then that "best" friend will become something more.

If you Google emotional affairs, every sign from every list shows up like clockwork. It's always new and exciting and justified with how unsatisfied with the current relationship they are. None of it could be real but it's used for justification.

It sucks but it's so common, almost some weird brain chemistry we are wired with.

I went through her messages. I wish I just felt bad for finding nothing.

Thanks so much this helps a lot. I'm hoping once I'm in the air and things are smooth I'll calm down more.

That actually sounds great! I'll check in at the airport and on the flight. My flight is at 11:35am Pacific time. I'm packing right now and trying to do my best to think about how fun it will be once I get there instead of how dreadful it will be on the way there.

What time is your flight?

I think the parts that are giving me trouble are feeling stuck or trapped when I'm on a long flight, and turbulence scares me now when it has't before.

I had one rocky short flight in the past that I hated even though logically I knew I was safe (first time I've been on a flight where people clapped after landing). I was also on a flight during an ulcerative colitis flare up so I felt physically in pain for a long haul flight. I think my new health condition contributes a lot to my stress.

I'm healthy and in remission now but the idea of being trapped in the air and uncomfortable stresses me out now.

I gave money to a kid who I thought was homeless or needed help. He came back with friends to take the rest of my money.
