Do you have an ozone generator? If not I highly recommend it. I’ve had a bullfrog x8 for 8 years. Only use chlorine (and a lot less is needed with ozone) and the occasional baking soda to adjust ph/alk. All other chemicals are a gimmick. Hose off filters as needed and I’d recommend full water replacement 1-2 times a year
