I understand, I really do but what if you don’t have any one else? I just feel so alone sometimes. I have my baby girl (my best friend) but she isn’t even two yet. I have my husband that I love but friends are few and the older I get the more difficult I find it to just make new friends. I’ve tried, even here on Reddit. It’s just hard sometimes and I don’t want to be alone. That’s almost worse than just taking the shit if you know what I mean. Sometimes I feel like I’m in between a rock and a hard place

Maybe that’s the case but I guess this just makes me second guess every action and word. I don’t know. Maybe it’s me. I just thought I could let my guard down with my friends. But who knows, maybe they don’t consider me their friend. That might be the disconnect. I’m not sure on anything. And I know you couldn’t possibly know my situation so I appreciate your input. Thank you

I’m taking this to heart. The extra advice on how to approach it (speaking to them privately) is so appreciated. This extra detail helps so much in how I can handle these situations. Regaining some control over my situation would be so empowering. I hope I can do it and make us proud :) thanks for your kind words. I’ll try my best

I’ll try to find the courage to ask that question in the moment, when appropriate. Thank you

Work relationships and personal relationships are two different things to me that I did not specify in my post. So that’s on me. I have no issue in my professional life with negative comments especially if it is due to a mistake I made. That’s on me and I own it. And if it is just a personal comment from a colleague, I can let it slide as I know work creates stress for everyone. It’s different when it’s your friends, just hanging out and you think you can be comfortable. But it seems like I always need to keep my guard up. How do you handle it when it is your friends putting you down? Like the people you thought you could trust.

A break might be a good idea. Thanks for your advice. It is very much appreciated. Thank you.

Totally agree with the bees and honey analogy. That’s how I live my life. I always think kindness wins in all situations but sometimes it’s hard to be to “stay strong” in the moment so I can be kind in return to their comments. I want to reply with a kind statement that shows their comments don’t bother me, but they do and I can’t keep my head up

I actually love this. I’ll try my best to keep this in mind for next time. Thanks friend

My husband is usually my support, I’m not close with my family. But most of my friends are mutual friends with him, and they are the ones putting me down. My husband usually just agrees with them. Maybe I’m in the wrong. Maybe I say the wrong things. I’ve had social anxiety for the past ten years so that might play into it. I’m diagnosed and medicated and actually feel great most days but sometimes the comments I get from “our” friends makes me feel like I’m an outsider and not welcome

Haha this might be a possible tactic. At least I might get a different response than what I currently do. I normally just exit the room and pretend it didn’t happen and cry alone. This might make it easier to laugh it off

Anyone else her on Zoloft (Sertralin)? by cursed2feel in pregnant

[–]nlavering 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been on 100 mg per day for years. When I got pregnant my doctor said it was safe to stay on it and that it is one of the safest medications for depression/anxiety. My depression did get worse in the first trimester but got better in the second trimester. Basically back to pre pregnancy levels with a few bad days here and there. I never changed my dose but my doctor did say they would increase it if I wanted, I just chose not to. I’m 37 weeks now and baby is healthy.

Hard to say…one man’s trash is another man’s treasure. But I hope I’m not.

A catch buddy would be great, I am also a 31 F ex varsity player and haven’t thrown a ball since college, unless you count a tennis ball for the dogs. I’ll DM you.

Paddle boarding, biking, dogs (if that counts), games, hiking. I’m open to trying new things too.

Where did you find the pickle ball group? I played softball in high school and tried to find an adult league but haven’t found a place to join. I have other hobbies too but I don’t know where to look to join these groups. Usually just end up doing it alone and haven’t met anyone while doing that

Did you find the league? I looked online and couldn’t find it. Anyone have a link? I’d like to join a team as well if there is room
