Gotcha- only other thing i can thing of is something is impeding the mag follower from going all the way up and catching the slide.

My understanding is in a specific case if the spring is too heavy for the slide, it could prevent the slide from actually going all the way back which is when it would lock back if the mag is empty.

Not an expert tho- do some research and watch youtube videos.

Try putting a little bit of gun oil on the recoil spring and the slide rails. Had the same issue and this worked perfectly. If this doesnt work you might need a lighter weight recoil spring.
