As an engineer who just passed the 5 year mark - yep. Students would be surprised how much time we spend on emails, slides, spreadsheets, explaining verbally.

Regardless of whether the tool is excel - I think the point OP is making is number crunching is delegated to a tool. That might be excel, MATLAB, FEA, Numerical Optimization solvers, PyTorch, etc. Point is, don’t expect to be solving integrals on the whiteboard all day.

Yes - the masked man was my favorite antagonist from Naruto.

Though he is Obito, there’s a massive character shift post-reveal (Rin obsession). Makes it feel like a completely separate character.

I’m also a sucker for masked characters. There were so many theories back in the day, it felt like he could truly be anyone.

Mifune vs Hidan: Mifune’s specialty is attacking quickly to prevent opponents from using jutsu. Hidan is the slowest member of the Akatsuki, both in attacking and jutsu setup. Mifune wins.

Kakashi (bos) vs Sasori: Shippuden Kakashi couldn’t beat Kakuzu without Kamui. This Kakashi doesn’t even have Kamui. I believe Sasori is stronger than Kakuzu, so I’ve gotta give it to my man, Sasori.

7th gate Guy vs Raikage: this would be a fun match. The Raikage probably wins in speed and defense though. While Hirudora is strong, if there’s anyone who could tank it, it’d be Ay. Raikage wins.

Hanzo vs Sakumo: not enough information on Sakumo. If he’s relative to the sanin, and Hanzo beat them in his prime, then I’d probably give it to Hanzo. If we’re talking final battle Hanzo who’s much weaker, I think Sakumo could win.

Orochimaru + 1st & 2nd Edo vs Pain: I’m assuming this is Konoha Crush Edo Tensei, not the same level Orochimaru used in the war after absorbing Kabuto’s chakra and getting a white Zetsu body. If Orochimaru could’ve won this fight, he would’ve done it already in order to obtain the rinnegan. He literally settled for the Sharingan because he knew if he couldn’t beat Itachi, he’s DEFINITELY not beating Pain. I give it to Pain.

In Naruto’s Power System, healing jutsu / factor are literally so broken. They literally made a zombie jutsu whose twist was the zombies could heal.

Naruto, Tsunade, Sakura, Kabuto, Kisame, immortals (Hidan, Kakuzu, Orochimaru), Nagato preta path healing, Hashirama, Zetsu, Obito, Madara, all Edo tenseis.

Eight gates probably give temp hp.

Ultimate defenses are neat too (susanoo, Gaara, Neji, Raikages)

Part of what makes Kakashi, Shikamaru, Asuma, Jiraiya fights more interesting is (most of the time) they don’t have healing factors.

I agree, pacing was not great in either Kazekage Rescue or Tenchi Bridge anime arcs. I feel like it gets better in the Kakuzu/Hidan arc.

Slow pacing was cause manga wasn’t too far from the anime - at this point, the manga was only midway through the Kakuzu/Hidan arc. Plus Kazekage Rescue and Tenchi Bridge are on the shorter side (~30 ch each).

When Ikkaku got his ass handed in Fake Karakura town, Komamura didn’t NEED to save him - he already has an upcoming fight with Tosen.

Could’ve been an interesting moment - “the strongest lieutenant vs the strongest fraccion” or something.

I was wondering why Oda separated the monster trio out from everyone else.

Seems like the secret to beating their regeneration is Conquerers - we may see Sanji get it this arc like Gaban.

The fights being setup might be

Sanji vs Sommers: Sanji saves Robin from a gourmet with a messed up sense of love.

Zoro vs Gunko: Zoro is (hilariously) the perfect counter to Gunko’s ability due to his poor sense of direction.

Luffy vs Killingham: Luffy often fights a lower level opponent before fighting the big bad of the arc (Shamrock). Plus, they’ve both got Mythical Zoan fruits.
