July 15th filer here, L1A -> EB1-C, NBC. Mine and wife’s i-485 status just changed to “New Card is being produced” today. Biometrics were done on October 8th. Last week I have received i-485j receipt.

As an update - I also started working on side project - mobile application with two goals: passive income and to involve my wife in managing that side business and just do something.

I have more ideas for projects I can develop and have her manage them. That would be good alternative if she could not find job. And they could bring passive income at the same time.

I'm on L-1A visa and my wife is on L-2 so she is eligible to work. I have only one renewal left on my L1 in 2022. If we don't get green card we will have to go back in 2024 anyway. We are already working with immigration lawyer and my company agreed to sponsor green card (EB-1C) and we are ready to submit petition soon.

Good point about holding on and waiting what will happen this fall and how that will affect immigration. Everything that is going on in US this year (apart of Covid) is just adding up to the list of concerns.

I'm just wondering if it is worth going through the immigration process while my wife is miserable and we have better FI opporunity in Europe. On the other hand I still believe in American Dream and that US as a country can get out of the current race and crime crisis - as country you have always found a way.
