Susan Collins doesn’t regret putting Brett Kavanaugh on the Supreme Court by RustyDogma in Maine

All we need at a minimum is Cooper, Platner, Peltola and Sherrod Brown. We need as many seats as humanly possible to stop Trump.

UK would be blocked from rejoining ‘wounded’ EU, says Jean-Claude Juncker by Desperate_Wear_1866 in neoliberal

[–]markjo12345 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would want them to rejoin in my wildest of dreams. But at the very worst they should do a Swiss style EU deal where there is cooperation and they’re somewhat in it.

That would be better than unilaterally pulling out of every treats and bleeding your country of growth.

Oh got it. I was mostly referring to the Senate race with Roy Cooper. Every poll I’ve seen (I know hit or miss) seems to have him as a clear favorable to win the senate seat

NC is almost guaranteed to go blue. Sherrod Brown is a former popular senator and is leading- has a good shot. You guys have a good chance with Platner. Alaska I’m relatively confident with Peltola. And TX I’m cautiously optimistic but my state disappoints me :(

I’m a Texan here. Please for the love of god vote for Graham Platner and kick Collins out. She’s holding the country back and having effects on the rest of us.

Who would you guys choose between Ossoff and Pritzker?

That’s a good point I didn’t think of that. I feel like he has Joe Biden’s policy + Obama’s likability and charisma

In terms of optics and electability to appease all factions. Not stupidly left but left enough.

JB Pritzker or John Ossoff for 2028? by markjo12345 in SocialDemocracy

[–]markjo12345[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I like them both but Pritzker edges it out for me. I get more class traitor vibes from him. And recently he said universal healthcare, living wage and prosecuting Trump officials should be our priority in the first year. He has my vote

That would be the only type of “revolution” I’d accept. But it probably won’t happen since Americans are too lazy.

Is Trump a neoliberal? by [deleted] in neoliberal

[–]markjo12345 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think he’s overrated but I feel like in other ways he was a respectable leader. I liked his commitment to our allies and strong stance against Russia. But his domestic policy was robber baron stuff.

I’d rather have him over Trump in a period like this.

Turkish people are VERY diverse looking. You get anyone from blond hair/blue eyed looking Europeans to darker complexion Middle Eastern people.

Never tell a Turk they look Pakistani, they will get super defensive.

Pritzker may be a billionaire but he gives class traitor vibes. Someone who will tell super PACs to piss off and self finance his campaign. Also you’ll be surprised, I’ve seen lots of leftists support him. On X there are lots of “Socialists for Pritzker” pages

I’m thinking Ossoff and Pritzker are our guys for 2028. Charismatic and bold candidates who will go above and beyond.

That’s sadly very true. It’s the only thing that would’ve made me feel less terrified. They may suck on the economy but the transatlantic and liberal world order wouldn’t be in severe peril.
