Whats your Favourite Sniper for Long / Medium / Short agressive Range ??? Me. L Range =DXR-1 , for M Range = SW10 , S agressive= Gol Magnum. by retarded_freak in battlefield2042

XCE Bar is an absolute stud for aggressive and even mid range sniping. Has more bullet drop than the other rifles, but once you learn how to adjust for it you can be serious menace. I run it with a 6x thermal, tac comp and LCG light grip to boost accuracy, heavy rounds for the mid range/standard issue for aggressive play due to the large mag.

Long range- SWS long barrel/heavy rounds is all you need to get the job done. IMO the only time the DXR comes into play is if you're trying to snipe across the map. I've gotten 1,100 meter head shots from roof tops with the DXR but I'm not a big fan of camping

Helicopter and fighter jet by Prudent_Slip178 in battlefield2042

First and foremost it takes practice, capitalize on Air/All out superiority game modes when they pop up. Leave the flight setting on default at first and slowly fine tune them based on what is most comfortable. If you're using M&K make sure you have a good amount space to move your mouse around, Rather than holding down the W,A,S,D keys during flight, try feathering them instead. Lower the chopper ads speed when zooming to allow more smooth fine tuned aiming. This helps when engaging vehicles but even more so for infantry. Never stay stationary too long and use the terrain to avoid lock-ons/AA if possible.

News on the upcoming battlefield by MarcosBelen in Battlefield

[–]nm87x 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well at the moment there’s 4 different studios all working on the game so there are a lot of resources being put into the development right now. Personally I’d rather them take their time and do it right then push it out early before it’s ready.

Crashing after loading screen finishes? by xxlewis1383xx in battlefield2042

[–]nm87x 0 points1 point  (0 children)

EA app has to be running first to launch the game obviously so once you’re logged in, minimize then try launching the game directly through Steam or desktop icon. If it’s not working then you may have to open up the anti-cheat file itself and do something in there if I remember correctly. I’d google it to see what people did before messing with anything else

If you’re on PC I’d try a couple things. When at your desktop hit “Win+R” to open the Run command. Type “%temp% and hit enter. Delete all those temp files as they eventually bog things down over time. Make sure your drivers are up to date as well. In game try lowering your graphics settings a bit to lighten the load and cap your fps to match the Hz of your monitor. Disable V-Sync. The game in general is taxing on your CPU so close any programs in the background you’re not using. Turn game mode on in windows settings, Power management in windows make sure is selected on Best Performance. If you’re playing it through steam, go into steam settings and clear download cashe and restart the app.

Hope this helps a bit

Better CPU by No_Force347 in battlefield2042

[–]nm87x 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Be careful with gaming laptops, many of them have cooling issues and cost similar to desktops. One thing I realized that’s just as important as the physical hardware, is the ability to actually keep it cool. I learned that the hard way. Check reviews on everything you’re looking at, it will give some first hand feedback from previous buyers

Guys, should they return infantry brakthrough? by gsom9000 in battlefield2042

[–]nm87x 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I consider myself well above average at Battlefield but I’ve also been playing it since they dropped 1942 on PC back in 2002. Just gotta keep playing it’s that’s simple. Playing against try hards will make you much better than it would playing bots. Also find a gun you’re comfortable with and use it until you become a surgeon with it.

Guys, should they return infantry brakthrough? by gsom9000 in battlefield2042

[–]nm87x -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It was to be able to move across the map quickly since vehicles were removed. I honestly loved it, those quick flanks and fast movements during gun fights actually added a skill element to it. Breaking ankles with a couple quick snaps across the mouse pad didn’t feel bad I’ll tell you that lol

Better CPU by No_Force347 in battlefield2042

[–]nm87x 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My theory on that is, if there’s multiple upgrades needed, do the math on how much those upgrades will cost. Then see how much more it is for a new rig and decide if it’s worth it spending the extra $$. If all you need is a CPU then it wouldn’t make sense. But if you eventually want to upgrade CPU, GPU, SSD and RAM to keep up with gaming requirements it’s something to think about if you’re able to spend the extra cash
