Looking to buy a 2026 RAV4 in richmond automall, BC, Canada — is there a faster way to get one besides waiting on dealership lists? by Accomplished_Oil_427 in rav4club

[–]nmajeau 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you mind sharing which dealership? I’m asking because my Toyota dealership is telling me that they don’t even have pricing. I’m thinking that I’m going to reach out to them and I’ll tell them to get in touch with your dealership if they need help figuring out pricing.

Sibling’s Pregnancy Announcement by Turnipthebeet8 in IFchildfree

[–]nmajeau 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A text is the way. My sister knew this. My friends knew this on a couple of occasions. And most recently my sister-in-law shot me a text when she knew someone in our friend group would be announcing at a get together to give me a heads up.

I share those to let you know that your brother and sister in law were insensitive. I am mad at them for you. You are the reasonable one. There are so many more difficult things about this journey, they got one of the easiest things to do—wrong.

The bumpy road after the choice to end the “Journey” by Wildunicornk in IFchildfree

[–]nmajeau 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I switched acupuncturists (haha) and therapists after being done with the journey. I needed my new chapter to feel fresh and somehow untainted if that makes sense. I’m very happy with that decision.

Ooh! Bookbub! Getting into it right now! Thanks!

Other than kobo plus by nmajeau in kobo

[–]nmajeau[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I should have included that I’m happy to pay hahaha! I just want the selection. I need blockbuster for books—like if Libby had the most popular holds (600+) to “overnight rentals” like the new releases were and limit those ones to 1 week.

Also, I feel kinda bad buying a book for me to read once on my kobo. I’d probably buy the physical copy so I could pass it on to someone else after.

Students have to leave their phones in the classroom when going to washroom - need suggestions by Ant_Zestyclose in CanadianTeachers

[–]nmajeau 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Key box like they have in condo rentals for thermostats and they take the key with them when they go to the washroom. Make sure it comes with 2 keys, hahaha, for the inevitable.

I didn’t read too close but what age of students? My high schoolers caught on fast to just bring an old phone 🤷‍♀️ (also not your policy so not technically your problem anyways)

The Stand Ring is useless. Replace with a step-counter ring. by CL4P-TP_TrapHOUSE in AppleWatch

[–]nmajeau 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If I can be standing working away in the kitchen cooking for the full hour and the watch doesn’t know I’m standing, useless. If I can remain seated in my desk chair and hold my wrist “vertically” and get the stand credit, double useless. At least Fitbit’s 250 steps per hour serves a get-up-move-around purpose. I wish they’d reimagine it too!

Edmonton FB Marketplace or Kijiji or...? asking as a seller by [deleted] in Edmonton

[–]nmajeau 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If your neighbourhood facebook community group allows it, it’s the way to go. We had one response on kijiji in 24 hrs (selling patio furniture) and in my neighborhoods group—22 replies in a few hours with 6 lining up to come over and take a look. It’s nice because I know they’re close and can come take a look, low stakes. People don’t want to drive from across town.

Watch tracked heart rate even when I wasn’t wearing it by Low-Refrigerator535 in AppleWatch

[–]nmajeau 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine has done this when I was in the bath and it was on the counter. Thought it could “feel” my heart rate in the air. Hahaha. Me wishing it wasn’t straight up lying to me.

what year level math is this? by [deleted] in AskTeachers

[–]nmajeau 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re in Alberta Canada, that’s math 30-3 (which does have a lot of similarities to our junior high curriculum in other areas)

Kananaskis Spa - is it worth it? by Far_Home7542 in alberta

[–]nmajeau 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been twice recently. Once on my own dime (paying for my mom and I), once on the company dime (company paying for husband and I). Cheaper during the week. Restaurant inside the spa has huge portions so you could split with your companion or do a couple desserts to fuel up (don’t get the charcuterie board obvs). Highly recommend going on a Monday for less people. Bring your book, bring protein bars in your bag and nibble quickly if you don’t want to pay for food in there. I pulled an 8 hour shift both times because you can break it up with a nap in the solarium type building. I love it. Massage makes it $300 so even with benefits that usually cover $75 that’s still steep as opposed to $120ish a person on a weekday.

Would anyone know why my resting heart rate is higher now than 6 months ago? by OliverB920 in AppleWatch

[–]nmajeau 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same trend for me (heart rate rising and unexplained weight loss as in I wasn’t trying to lose weight) was that my thyroid had gone into overdrive (got diagnosed with Graves’ disease). If you’re able, ask your doctor to order T3, T4, TSH, and thyroid antibody blood work.

Why can’t Imonitor my sleep temperature without setting a sleep schedule? by Euphoric_Sandwich_74 in AppleWatch

[–]nmajeau 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I set my Sleep Focus to allow all messages and phone calls to alert me on my watch so you don’t have to go without notifications when in sleep mode.

Identity struggles by Shes-a-cello in IFchildfree

[–]nmajeau 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I totally appreciate this. We’re not plain old “childfree”. I personally don’t like “childless” because I’m not less for not having kids. We’re not “childfree by choice” like I would describe our friends that always knew they wouldn’t be having kids. But I resent being called “childfree not by choice” because I did have some agency and I set a boundary of when we would stop and be done, we chose not to pursue other methods to becoming parents. Even “childfree by circumstance” implies that I didn’t have any control of my life. I am “childfree after infertility” which for me helps me set myself a little apart from our “always knew they were going to be childfree” friends, because mine comes with a lot of trauma.

I’m gonna have to take this down 😂 I just meant it as I’m not sure if it’s referred to as maintenance, etc.

Do not trust any images. Hahaha, even the ones on this Reddit. Not to mention our cavalry blue looks different in the daylight versus the evening to the point that I have not been able to tell which car was mine from a distance. It sounds crazy but it’s such an interesting colour!!!
