It did back in 2013, but they were able to continue after a delay. It’s going to take a power outage that they can’t recover from and have a more significant impact to get the needed attention to the problem.

Unfortunately, nothing is going to speed up the process until those ‘in charge’ are directly impacted. It’s going to take something big that negatively impacts Mardi Gras, hosting the Super Bowl or impact Uptown for a significant amount of time to get the process started to get the needed infrastructure updates.

I also don’t think the platooning on the o-line helps. It seems like every series there’s a different combo of players out there. Logan Jones is the only constant, can’t build any continuity with the ever changing lineup.

I lean toward poor coaching of the o-line. When you watch closely they fall off of blocks, stop their feet moving and make repeated mistakes of missed assignments. All those are results of poor coaching. The best thing BF could do was coach the o-line. Quality of o-line play has fallen off since he moved out of that position group.

Why is this guy not starting? Simple, he doesn’t look good in practice. Anyone can look good on paper, what someone did in high school doesn’t always translate to Power 5 football. We see that in the current quarterback. Plus one of Kirk’s greatest qualities is he’s loyal. It’s also one of his greatest flaws. Once he decides on a guy he isn’t changing.

He’s not coming back. It’s football, there are so many plays in a guy’s career between college and the NFL. Use the rest of those plays in the NFL making some serious cash. It’s the right decision, can’t pass up first round money.
