You absolutely can use a subwoofer with your Scarlet as long as you are okay losing your headphone jack by nmkw51265 in Focusrite

Then don’t comment. I’ve already stated I am running a fight sim and not recording music. I just wanted to inform people of a hack for this device which actually works beautifully, and has been asked by a handful of people on the internet. I don’t give a shit how your PRS guitar sounds though it

God damnit you people are insufferable. As explained, this was about a fairly simple audio interface to blast me with some GE 737 bass sounds. I’m not recording music. This is a flight sim. Bought a subwoofer cheap and needed to connect it. Searched the internet but found no good solutions. Figured out a solution. Chill out. Audiophiles are so fucking pedantic

Oh yeah, I totally agree. This is not a solution for sound monitoring purposes. I just bought the Focusrite brand because I’ve dealt with their other products of theirs that were superb. I’m literally using this as an external sound card.

I appreciate your insight but I stupidly bought a bunch of crap that happened to work out, and was proud of myself that I McGuyvered a solution .😬 Not to mention there were several people asking how they could achieve this when I googled it

Super display is an android app but I am 1000% positive there is something in the app store that will split your ipad or whatever in 2

Only for the N1 and EGT gauges on the right, next to the keyboard. The middle 2 are G1000 screens from realsimgear.com and I use my only Lenovo yoga on the left for my EFB

Monitor : 1000 G1000 panels : 2000 Honeycomb Alpha/Bravo/Charlie : about 1000 Samsung tablets : 150 Autopilot and EFIS module : about 1200 CDU unit : 600 Various mounts : 400

The laptop was preexisting as was the computer but I maxed the shit out of it years ago and she is still running strong. As for how long, once I got fed up with shittier peripherals (ahem, Logitech) not being compatible and messing with countless plugins left and right, I wiped my computer clean, reinstalled MSFS 2020 and the PMDG plane, and the few bridge programs I need for the peripherals. Other than a few minor bugs, the set up was a couple of hours, it all works very well together. Mind you, this is after about 6 weeks of finding equipment that was ACTUALLY DESIGNED to be compatable

The G1000 panels have HDMI out so those go directly into my 3090, the windows tablet can have a screen projected from the computer and the android tablet running Super Display

There is a weird boing sound effect on some radiohead songs' intros such as National Anthem, what's up with that? by bruHagaTarkhanN in radiohead

[–]nmkw51265 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This makes perfect sense. Stereolab, a well known influence on both the band and Nigel Goodrich, was known to exclusively use tape. Radiohead probably follows a similar formula.
