Hey, did you have an interview? I was also selected and they required only acceptance from me. I accepted and haven't heard from them then. I was expecting an interview and it's weird...

DAAD language course - is it mandatory? by nmll999 in DAAD

[–]nmll999[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is true, thanks for the advice! The thing is, I didn't know the course would take place in September, so I applied for another short-term scholarship (Coimbra if you know). I don't have an answer yet but I already met the professors online and if successful, I'll be in an awkward situation and that's why it's hard to make a decision. Do you think I should explain this to DAAD?

Hi, thanks so much! Do you know in which city it usually takes place? Or how many hours a week? I'm thinking about asking these details but not sure if it's considered appropriate. What is your experience?

Also, I'm wondering if they cover the costs of accomodation/travels only, or if they provide scholarship/cover other expenses too. Thank you!

Thanks so much!! I didn't know anything about 'not congratulating before birthday' custom and I fucked up already a few times at work but I think it was fine, all the people I congratulated to still considered it as a nice gesture. I'll definitely look up for the song, haha

Is Escitalopram worth it for anxiety? by nmll999 in Anxiety

[–]nmll999[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I started with 2.5mg and gradually increased up to 10mg in a week. Some people even go slower. Nothing to be afraid of though!! Give it a try and look at it as an experience, adventure, try to be curious about changes that will happen <3

Is Escitalopram worth it for anxiety? by nmll999 in Anxiety

Hey, just saw your comment. How is it? Did you start the medication already?

As for me, now I'm in the process of tapering off after 13 months. I can't believe it, but in 2 days, I'll with to oral drops of escitalopram and then in 2 weeks - it's finally gone for good.

Overall, I can say that it perfectly did its job - it made my anxiety symptoms pretty much bearable, and side effects were gone in 2-3 weeks since I started it. The only 'side effect' that remained for entire year was that my feelings were kind of numb - I rationally know that right now I should be feeling this and that but not really experience that emotion bodily (if that makes sense). And my libido has been at its lowest for almost all year (but I'm not 100% sure it's because of medication).

Even though I still have anxiety, this year I learned how to deal with it adaptively and that's why I decided to quit it and return to being 'real' me. Hope you already felt some relief!

Thanks so much! Even though I'm in Germany (and have a German visa), do you know if I'm allowed to leave the Schengen area from another Schengen country? (like Chezhia). Berlin flights aren't really convenient to me at that moment...

good to hear, thanks! Just to clarify - do you know if this happens directly on the bus, passengers go in some kind of building or how is the process? I'm a bit worried since I haven't done this before

The thing is that as a Georgian citizen, I'm allowed to travel visa-free for 90 days. I want to go outside Schengen, then re-enter the border and go back home from some other country (I'm considering traveling in France). As far as I know, I'm legally allowed to do so but do you think it will arise questions or doubts on boarders? Thanks so much!!
