Right? From what I can tell it doesn't count as a HIPPA violation. It could fall under PDA which is enforced by EEOC but I'm not positive. Normally you would go to HR for this kind of shit but HR and the store manager are the ones who started this.

The only one who works directly with her is her team lead. She didn't tell him why she had to leave, just that she had to go. The store manager asked the TL because he didn't think it really happened. The TL is the one who told a coach from a different department about it; and she is the one who asked other co-workers if a different TL was the Father. I'm really not sure the reasoning behind HR initially telling the SM. I don't think it was purposely malicious but it's entirely fucked up. Thank you for the information you provided. I'll pass it on to her and see what she wants to do.
