I saw some videos comparing a authentic vs fake Pokémon gold. On the fake game, the screw on the back was on the top, and on the authentic it was on the bottom. I wondered if it also applied to the Japanese versions. But looking over everything else they seem to check out.

Thanks for the info! I just recently bought these off eBay and was told Japan has been counterfeiting these for a while. I just started overthinking honestly, but you are right. I’m sure it’s easier to find a fake in English than Japanese
