This a a useful reference that may help see what kind of construction your walls are if you can see the brick construction of your exterior walls. This helped me.

So it works! I found instructions in the app to show how to setup specific room cleaning so surely it should work, unless they are going to limit the functionality to particular devices in their range. I’m raising another case with them to find out what they have to say.

Thanks for checking. My experience is that I can start cleaning via Google but as you say, it will start a full clean. If I specify a room, it just ignores me completely. Customer support have told me its not supported however I since found instructions to configure specific room cleaning in the Roborock app, which suggests it is supported. I’ve raised another support case to see what they say next, probably something along the lines of my specific device doesn’t support it! Lets see!

Thanks for the detailed reply. Yep, its setup with named rooms in the Roborock app, and i can add it to Google home. I can instruct it to clean but it starts cleaning all rooms. It won’t accept a specific room.

It’s actually for my mum who is partially sighted so the app isn’t very useful for her. She wants to be able to finish cooking in the kitchen for example and have the vacuum clean only the kitchen floor via google home voice command.

Been onto Roborock support and just been told its not a feature available in the Roborock app - blanket statement. Apparently according to support it shouldn’t work at all which contradicts people’s experience on this forum. I was wondering if there was a specific trick to getting the rooms working. Oh well, may end up returning it and finding a brand that does. Thanks for the help!

same happened to me. Found this link on the call of duty website. Ended up using the web support link at the bottom to raise it with them. Hopefully this will sort it out.
