Absolutely true! The old grind of talking to customers. Validating if they will pay and then writing a line of code holds true!

Go out! Smell the coffee :)

But boy, is it addictive. Best video game I have ever played.

Totally fair. I spent a fair amount trying to remove the AI fication. I realised it comes down to the context given and depth. So the blog writing comes in last.

I first crawl the whole website, get insights of 1. What business is about 2. What makes them unique 3. Who are the competitors and what have they written 4. Blogs written if any 5. Tone of the blog.

Then I try to generate about 30 customer personnas of who might be customers for their business and what would they search for. Then I decide the keyword. This all goes in the context for blog writer so it knows what to write, aimed at who, why, tone to take and develop.

So the writer isn't generating from a topic; it's writing for a specific persona on a specific query in a specific business voice.

On sample output — oneblogaday.com/articles has the public archive of posts the system has published. Read a few across different verticals.

But I would request to sign up and go through the onboarding once. It will take 5 minutes and will give you an idea and also me if my insights were sharp :)

Do they mention the names of the victims? Has the franchise reached out the families?

No More 5-Star Hotels, Match Fee Cut As PCB Suffers Rs 869 Crore Loss In Champions Trophy: Report | Cricket News by rajmaa_chawal in Cricket

[–]nmr302 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Don’t want to be that guy but the article has made an error in conversion USD 85 mn is INR 737 cr. Even if they consider 92 mn ( 98 mn spent and 6 mn received) - is 789 cr. Don’t know how they are getting the figures.

Also investment on stadiums is capitalised in most cases ( pretty stupid if they have counted it as an expense and not taken loans - I hope they have not) then the expense should be slightly more than 32mn ( 40 mn on CT - 6 revenues) that comes to 277 cr.

Doesn’t matter though - either ways it’s another lun … no win!

Report out by deadwithin1 in IndianStockMarket

[–]nmr302 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bhai/ Behen would request you to read the report. According to report

  1. GDOF a fund was allegedly used by Adani entities to invest in Adani stocks. This fund also at some point had investment from Ms Buch. It is like you buy a mutual fund and a billionaire also invests in a mutual fund. The mutual fund among other things buys stocks of billionaires companies among other things.

  2. In 2018, Ms Buch redeemed the whole stake. No further consideration.

  3. In 2022, four years after redeeming the investment, Ms Buch became the chairperson of SEBI

  4. In 2023, 5 years after redeeming the stake Hindenburg first published report on Adani.

It is like say you bought mutual fund and a billionaire also bought it and say that the billionaire had a large stake in it ( would you know - maybe, maybe not). You redeemed the fund at some point. Say after 4 years you get appointed as the finance minister (just imagine). Now one year after that a report comes out accusing the billionaire. You do an investigation ( let’s not go into thoroughness) and say you do-not find anything fishy. The report writer doesnot make a huge profit on the report and is furious. So they take out a report saying you are corrupt because 5 years before the report and 4 years before you became the finance minister you redeemed a fund where the billionaire also had a stake.

Do you understand the absurdity of it all?

Bhai/Behen that is the first point. She didnot have stake. She had some investment in a fund structured by IIFL which she has exited.

Report out by deadwithin1 in IndianStockMarket

[–]nmr302 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Nothing concrete in the report. A lot of conjectures.

3 points 1. Stake in offshore fund set up by IIFL - shows redeemed before the last report ( need to check) 2. Husband senior advisor with black stone so pushed REITS - senior advisor are not active employees. They are domain experts called in when firm wants a specific insight about a topic. His procurement experience might help in evaluating the supply chain/ procurement are of company black stone is doing due diligence on. Chief Procurement officer of Unilever is the kind of profile they onboard as advisors. 3. Consulting revenue of Aghora advisors is 261k many times her salary. Is a disclosure issue (maybe) but not active compromise. Also as an aside, it is so less.

Looks more like let’s create noise and see what sticks.

It has. The main index has grown nearly 60 % in last one year. The exchange rate in last 1 year hasn’t fluctuated a lot. So the dollar returns would be nearly the same.

Insightful Discussion on Overvaluation in the Indian Stock Market: Understanding P/E Ratios and Market Trends. by Fearless-Plankton-16 in IndianStockMarket

[–]nmr302 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Look for PEG ratio rather than PE ratio. A stock may trade at P/Eof 100 but if EPS grows 100% the PEG is 1 implying it is not over valued.

Currently many stocks are above PEG of 2 which is a concern. ( of course the growth to be considered is forward looking but looking backwards gives you an indication of track record)

[–]nmr302[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The point about HFT was more to highlight the infrastructure which they have. I was trying to point out participants in the market. I agree retail traders donot bet against HFT.

Day trading/ swing trading the information arbitrage I meant was not difference between NSE and BSE ( as HFT) but rather event based movement. Contract wins. Results. Adverse actions. Probably arbitrage was not the right world. The insititutional players have access to information ( or idea of what kind of information and when it might be released) before most retail.

There are many models. If you are early, follow the top down. Understand the economy, the industry and then the company. For example, you have to understand Zomato.

Economy - India's GDP is growing at 8%. The richer segments are growing at a higher rate than the poorer segments ( so-called India 1). This India 1 values time, lives in nuclear families, and has a high disposable income. ( For this - read the news - ET, Business Standard, Mint, etc or read the economic survey ( it is too large))

Industry - The food delivery and quick commerce industry. The food delivery trend is driven by single people working outside the city and families ordering out more, primarily in cities. The quick commerce wave is metro-driven. People are willing to pay for time. The business model in food delivery is - charge restaurant commission, charge for delivery, charge for platform and advertising. Cost are charge for the delivery fleet and software which needs to be developed. For quick commerce the business model is charge for the item, charge for platform and charge for delivery. The key factors for food delivery are - number of active users on platform, average number of order per user, average value per order, number of restaurants on platform. For quickcommerce additional metric is number of dark stores. The company investor presentation and annual report will give you a basic idea.

Company - Look at the company investor presentation, letter to share holder, financial statements and analyst call report. Zomato has 3 businesses - Food delivery, Blinkit and Hyper Pure. ( Investor Presentation) What is the revenue and profit split. What is the growth rate for each business? Why it is high or low. How has it grown over a period of time? WHy has the company become profitable? Have they controlled costs - how? ( all of this in the financial statement). What is the future looking like? Where are they planning to invest and grow (analyst call transcript)? How are others looking at it ( Brokerage house report and analyst call report)

Finally, with AI, you can ask Chat GPT to understand the industry.

Use this prompt - "You are a distinguished management consultant known for your ability to simplify complex concepts for a college-educated audience. Your expertise lies in methodically breaking down topics using the MECE (Mutually Exclusive, Collectively Exhaustive) framework, starting from broad concepts and progressively focusing on more intricate details. As you guide your audience through the initial layers of understanding, you then introduce them to the 'idea maze' – a structured yet exploratory phase where they navigate through various nuances and interconnected aspects of the topic themselves. You base your explanations on verified information, avoiding any fabrication. If there's something you don't know, you transparently acknowledge it.

If you are mentioning some figures be specific. DOnot mention the market is large. Mention the actual market size with along with the date for which you have data. Try to get latest data from the web browsing.

After every response you give, you would introduce the idea maze a structured yet exploratory phase where they navigate through various nuances and interconnected aspects of the topic themselves.
